Suddenly, my body was wrapped in a strong arm as I fell backwards. We stopped when my body was just an inch or two away from the ground. Alpha Ezra held me close to his chest with one hand, and his other hand hit the ground, stabilizing us. The shelf hit his back, and everything crashed around us. Glass shattered, and Alpha Ezra pulled me even closer to him to try to shield me from the breaking glass.
My body was pressed against his, and I could feel all of his muscles flexing as he tried to keep me safe. My face was pressed against his chest to protect my eyes from any flying particles, and I could hear his heart racing as his grip tightened even more.
