ZAIYREE My entire body ached by the time Rhett was done with our training session. “Are you sure this gets easier?” “No.” Rhett chuckled and passed me some water. “Because when your muscles get strong enough to handle this workout, we increase it, and the process starts all over again.” I blinked at him, waiting for him to start laughing and tell me he was just teasing me. When the laughter didn’t come, I said, “Remind me why I’m doing this again.” Rhett laughed at this. “Only you can determine that, but from what you’ve told me it’s so you’ll be able to beat me up.” He added a wink to his statement. I shook my head and sipped my water. Even if I trained every day for years, I didn’t think it was possible to ever catch up to Rhett. I could get stronger to at least take care of myself.
