Chapter 2“Where are the customers?” Tristan Newman muttered softly to himself. The bakery was unusually empty. Normally, there would be many customers on Monday, especially in the afternoon. Tristan was sitting on the chair behind the counter at the bakery, feeling bored and drowsy at the same time. Since there was no customer at the moment, he decided to shut his eyes for a minute or so. Even though it was only three o’clock in the afternoon, he was exhausted because he had to wake up early that day to attend the first of his two Business Management classes at the community college. After he was done with the second class at noon, he had to rush to the small bakery in downtown Austin. From Monday through Thursday, he would be there for six hours per day. He didn’t have classes on Friday
