"Why are you being so quiet?" Gloria inquired, concern lacing her words as we shared our lunch.
I had been lost in my thoughts for a while. I didn't realize I had even zoned out.
"I just have a lot on my mind," I replied, carefully avoiding the topic of suspicion I held about the missing details between her and Steven.
I wondered if Gloria still had feelings for Steven as well. Was Gloria still in love with him?
"Have you considered discussing it with Gloria? Keeping secrets only allows them to fester inside you. Besides, she has already been honest with us, and her past shouldn't matter anyway," Slade chimed in, his voice echoing in the recesses of my thoughts.
