[Kris’s POV]
I walked out of the shower and into my room, when Steph popped her head in.
“Did you hear the news?” She called out, as her face was almost white as the wall, which made me frown at her confused.
“What news?” I asked as I pulled my shirt over my head.
“It’s Mary’s uncle, he is being arrested for fraud.” She replied, as she closed the door, before she sat down on my bed.
“No, I didn’t, did Mary tell you?” I asked, but she shook her head.
“It’s all over the news, everybody talking about it. I tried to call her, but she isn’t answering...” Steph explained, as she put her face in her hands. I had a feeling her uncle could have done this and actually deserved what was coming for him, but at the same time I felt bad for her, that she had to go through all that.
