“That’s really not necessary, I just..” I started, but their mother quickly cut me off.
“That sounds like a great idea! Then I don’t have to worry about you going home alone!” She spoke, as a smile came across her face. Making me sigh in frustration, as I knew I wasn't able to argue against it.
I gave Steph a big hug before I jumped in next to Kris in his car. I waved goodbye to his mom and Stephanie, who were standing in the doorway and waving at me, as we started driving. When we had been driving for some time in awkward silence, I chose to break the silence.
