As soon as Kit saw Candance, he panicked. Not this. Not now.
Kit backed up toward the rear of the jeep and glanced around for Frank or Dara. If he got too close to Candance, she would know he wasn't his brother. The woman was bright, and she'd slept with Harry. There was no way he could fake being his twin with her.
Kit tried to think fast, but his only thought was Gunner. Gunner should not find out that he lied this way. Kit needed to tell the man himself. If he told Gunner, maybe they could work it out.
