Chapter 6, Rachel:Traveling through the wilds of Shakopee was never fun or safe. Too many animals worked their way down from the mountain passes, looking for an easy meal. The same could be said about the human beasts that preyed on those running from the effects of the war. Rachel grew up on this shard and believed the stories of monsters coming down from the mountains to be nothing but myth and nonsense.
