But the impact never came.
There was a rush and a loud crash and I opened my eyes and a bigger wolf, also blond but more of a honey blond had a struggling Eden wolf by the throat. This all happened in less than a second but I swear years went by.
“Submit now Eden or I will authorise for him to put you down permanently” the Alpha commanded in his powerful voice, that's when I noticed that the Beta no longer stood beside him. I looked at the two wolves and realised where the second wolf had come from, silently reminding myself to buy the Beta a drink or something to thank him for his quick reflexes. The smaller Eden wolf still struggled against his hold, her eyes on me and her teeth barred.
“I said SUBMIT AND SHIFT NOW” the Alpha boomed again.
