Charles’ s POV
The farcical day is finally coming to an end.
This f.ucking ridiculous wedding is finally over.
I opened my bedroom door and unbuttoned my collar irritably. After a few steps, I found my bedroom too quiet.
Where the h.ell is Selena? She said at dinner that she would try her best to be a good Luna. And now she's going to shirk her duty to serve her husband and become an ostrich with her hair in the sand?
D.amn it. When's this f.ucking day gonna end?
I sat down on the soft leather sofa, picked up a bottle of red wine on the table, uncorked it and took a big gulp. I feel the blood vessels of my brain pumping regularly with my pulse. My body temperature rose slowly, and my open pores gave off a wine-scented heat.
I massaged my temples with one hand and lay back on the sofa with my eyes closed. The events of these days play out in my mind like a movie. It's a really bad movie. From the wedding to pack business, nothing goes smoothly. Bad news is like dominoes, one after another.
F.uck!
The vampires have been getting restless again recently, and I have to figure out a way to deal with them. The werewolves in my pack still need to keep training to be ready for future battles.
I feel better after a nap. I stood up, took off my clothes as I walked, and went to the bathroom n***d.
The water from the shower hit me and made me come back to life. I wiped the water on my face and touched the mask I had been wearing since I was a child.
The whole room was silent. There was no sound except the sound of water running. I raised my hand, but gave up the idea of taking off my mask, lifted only one corner of it, and hurriedly washed my face.
I know all the ridiculous rumors about me. This mask is the source of them. But I don't care to explain anything to anyone. I am the Alpha of the Black Valley Pack, with absolute power and authority. I don't have to explain my past and secrets to everyone.
No one dared to show any disrespect in front of me, even though the rumors were circulating and becoming more and more exaggerated. Everyone flattered me, bowed to me, and said they would do anything for me.
One person, however, seems to be an exception. At today's wedding, my Luna didn't seem to fear or surrender to me. She was shocked but not horrified when I rudely tore off her veil. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that she's a petty, cowardly and weak werewolf.
I never thought such a person would be my wife one day.
I remember when I carried her to the car. It was like I was holding an oversized doll. Is she really a werewolf? She's like one of those stupid human girls who eats salad every day to lose weight. But she's not as flat as she looks. At least when we touch, I can feel her soft breasts...
I suddenly realized that my member couldn't resist saluting while I was making random thoughts. I held him and felt a shivering sensation in the hot water. If Selena's hand was holding him now...
Damn it, Penelope wears low-cut dresses all day, showing off her D-cup breasts, and I don't even bother to look at her. Now how can I have a fantasy about that mediocre woman Selena? !
I'm not in the mood for a bath. I quickly turned off the shower and walked out of the bathroom in a bathrobe. The bedroom was still very quiet, the light from the wall lamp was warm and yellow, and my clothes, which had been on the floor a moment ago, were still there.
Damn. Where the h.ell is Selena! She's not up to anything, is she?
I walked out of the room, wondering where Selena would go. Suddenly, I heard a rustle around the corner.
Who's there?
I crept up and found that it was not Selena who was speaking, but two of our maids. One of them made an impression on me. I told her to take Selena to my room before dinner. Well, she must know where Selena is.
"Our Alpha seems to be taking his Luna very seriously. I hear she's going to be in charge of our pack party next month. It's always been Penelope's job," one maid said enviously.
The maid, whom I remember, sneered, "You don't know, do you? She's just Luna in name, and Alpha doesn't like her at all. Today, I saw her get out of her car and fall to the ground. Alpha didn't even help her. If she doesn't die tonight, I guess she'll be abandoned soon."
"Really? They're married. I know Alpha's divorce process is complicated."
"I'll whisper it to you. I heard with my own ears that our Alpha said that he did not recognize her as his wife. Besides, she's just an unknown she-wolf in the Red Moon Pack. She doesn't even look as pretty as our maid. Look. Alpha even let her live in the maid's quarters?"
Maid's quarters? I felt a fire burning in my heart. I turned the corner of the corridor with a heavy face and walked straight towards them. They were startled to see me and stammered, "Ah... Alpha..."
I went up and grabbed the servant girl who spoke ill of Selena by the neck, and the other maid fell to the ground in fright. I sneered. "I didn't know that my maid had such a great right to talk about my marriage and even to guess whether I was divorced or not."
The maids swallowed the scream and wept silently, covering their mouths as hard as they could.
I hate it when people challenge my authority, especially smart-alecks.
"Alpha... Please let me go..." the maid was breathing hard.
If I push my hand any harder, I'll break her neck.
"Please... I... I won't do it again..."
I let go, and the maid leaned weakly against the wall, gasping for air. Another maid quickly helped her to her feet, and the two looked very disheveled.
“Remember the lesson of this. If you want to continue living in my pack, you need to know your place and don't do anything that doesn't fit your identity.” I glanced at them. They nodded immediately.
"Now, you take me to Selena."
The maid trotted quickly ahead of me, bowed her head and humbly led the way. I followed her to a very small room at the end of the corridor, next to the bathroom. I frowned. I didn't even know I had a place like this in my house!
Knock, Knock.
I knocked on the door without hesitation.
"Who is it?" A voice asked hesitantly.
Selena’s POV
"It's me."
It's Charles! How did he find this place? Oh, this is his home. It's normal for him to find it here. It's just that I don't really want to face him on my wedding night. I'd rather stay here and enjoy the peace and quiet of being alone.
I didn't answer him. Charles knocked harder on the door. "Selena, open the door!"
I was so afraid that he would break the door down and break it down, so I had to open it for him.
Charles's tall body, wrapped in a bathrobe, squeezed into the bedroom. He surveyed the furnishings of the room with a serious expression. The clothes that I hadn't finished tidying up were scattered on the bed. He frowned deeply. When we looked at each other, I noticed something strange in his expression.
S.hit! I'm still wearing my underwear!
I quickly crossed my arms, but my legs were exposed.
Charles snorted, and his eyes filled with disdain. "You used such a cheap trick to impress me on your wedding night. Did your sister teach you that?"
What?!
"No, I didn't!" I quickly denied. The Moon Goddess knows I don't want to face him. I'm n***d because Penelope stepped on my pajamas. I was going to spend the night in this small room in my underwear. But Charles came to me.
Charles's eyes grew dark. "You've taken your clothes off," he said hoarsely. "That's good. I don't need to waste time anymore."
I was at a loss. My mind stopped for a moment, not knowing what he meant by "wasting time".
"I'm already angry today. I hope you won't let me down tonight, Selena." Charles walked slowly toward me as if a fire were approaching and the air was getting thin in the small space.
I could hear my breathing getting louder. Oh, Moon Goddess, how can I leave this room and spend my first night without Charles?
"What are you nervous about?" Charles toyed with a lock of my hair. The distance between us was so close that I could smell his fresh breath after a bath.
I continued to shake my head, "No... No." What should I say? He's the reason I'm nervous. I turned away from Charles's burning gaze.
The lock of hair escaped Charles's hand. He pinched my chin with his head tilted. "Don't tell me you don't know what we're going to do on our wedding night. As a Luna, you have an important task to complete today."
Once again, his eyes rested on my half-n***d body, like a beast watching his prey.
