Selena’s POV
Silence, still silence.
I don't know if Charles told Billy about us. Anyway, I have nothing to say to Billy, although I notice he's been watching me in the rearview mirror.
At the traffic lights, Billy couldn't hold it in any longer. "Selena, I don't know what happened between you and Charles, but please believe that he really cares about you..."
Charles cares about me? I closed my eyes and pretended not to hear Billy.
Obviously, we both know I'm pretending to be asleep. Billy sighed and drove on.
When we went back to the Black Valley Pack, the weather was very bad. The sky was dark and grey, and the rain was pouring down, creating a heavy curtain over Charles's villa.
