When I felt the tip of the pen touching the paper, I woke up from my trance and stopped the pen in my hand. I looked down and saw that I had cut a small hole in the middle of the A4 paper. Within minutes, the white sheet of paper was filled with words, some of which were jammed together like a messy ball of wool.
All these words are one name: Kevin Anderson.
I sat in my room all afternoon thinking about the connection between that name and Eva's death. I'm sure it's not my paranoia. With the exception of vampires, all the current questions boil down to one point. Why was Eva, a junior soldier like me, patrolling the dangerous edge of the forest in the middle of the night?
