Lucas felt elated when he watched Toby get out of the backseat of Kirk’s sedan, which he’d parked directly in front of Lucas’s house. Kirk and Lucas’s brother, Elijah, also got out of the car, but at that moment he only had eyes for the man with the bright, shocking yellow hair.
