BLAIR
The Jet lands on the airstrip smoothly as I check my watch- it's just turned 5pm. Mum should be arriving with nana by 6.30pm, in time for dinner. I cannot wait for them to get here. Mum has yet to make the trip, since the incident at The Blood Moon Pack she has ended up rising through the ranks at the Coven. When her second chance mate turned out to be the High Priestess of the Coven, her timetable got busy, fast. Sadly Anya, my stepmum, wouldn't be able to make the Luna Ceremony tomorrow, but my mum was coming as a representative of our Coven. She had yet to meet Erik, and I was definitely worried about how it would go. I was the first member of the family to be Mated to a man, and it had definitely caused a stir back at home.
We disembark, Erik grabbing my bags as leave. "Agent Provocateur?" he murmurs against my ear.
"There is nothing in there that you wouldn't want me to have bought..." I say, looking up at him and smirking. "If you're lucky, I'll put on a show later..." Erik chuckles, a deep throaty laugh as he grabs my hips, pulling my ass back into him. I push my ass back teasingly before skipping ahead to Sol, glancing over my shoulder and shooting Erik a grin. Ama is currently carrying the plethora of bags that Sol had picked up, and Anth was carrying the culmination of Essie and Neil's shopping trip, at Neil's protestations that he could do it himself. I rolled my eyes at them before linking with Sol as we headed over the the castle.
"Excited to see your dress?" I ask her as we pass into the castle grounds.
"Yeh, but it's going to be bittersweet as well. Mum and mammy should have been here for this, and nana. I just wish they would have seen this, met Ama, you know?"
"I know, but you have me, my nana, and my mum. While it's not the same, we all know you and love you," I say, squeezing her arm.
"I know, thank you," Sol replies, smiling at me. As we enter the castle grounds a guard looks over at us, a brief flash of annoyance on her face before she composes herself. "Isn't that that.. Irene person?"
"Irena, yeh..." I say, tailing off. I don't know what's wrong with her, but she needs to learn to control her face better.
We walk through the castle, making small talk with the Pack as we go. It is absolutely amazing being part of a Pack again. The Coven is lovely, but when you have grown up with being able to mindlink whoever you want, being connected mentally to a larger community, losing that can really effect you. Sol hits the button for the elevators as the rest of the gang catches up with us. "Come up to our floor after dinner, wear the lingerie you will be wearing tomorrow. We will be trying on your dress later," I say, wriggling my eyebrows at Sol. She smiles at me with a nod, as Ama winds her arm around her waist, pulling her close, closing her eyes with a smile on her face.
I am so pleased she came back, I think, as I look around our motley crew. Erik heads over to me as I lean back into him, his chin resting on the top of my head. For the first time since The Blood Moon Pack got razed to the ground, I feel like I am 100% finally home again.
IRENA
That woman walks past me, arms linked with the new Beta female. I feel my face twist momentarily, before smoothing it over. I cannot let them think anything is wrong. It's fine, I think I got away with it.
"You free babe?" I hear in my head as Dan mindlinks me.
"I finish work in five minutes," I link back, as I inwardly roll my eyes. I need to keep up appearances, get into the dungeons. "Fancy meeting up tonight? You're off right? I want to discuss a few things with you... I hope you're... open to them," I finish in a mischievous tone.
"I'm definitely interested in hearing what you have to say," Dan replies, his low chuckle echoing down the mind link.
"I'll see you at dinner then..." I reply, cutting off the mind link. I check my watch- 5pm. Thank Goddess my shift is over. I walk across to the elevators, watching from behind a pillar as the scooby gang that is our ranked members enter the ranked members elevator. Once the door dings closed I walk across, pressing the button to call my own elevator down.
I f*****g hate them all. I can't stand them.
I cannot wait for my plan to spring into action. I enter the elevator, hitting the button for my floor, tapping my foot as I ascend. I need to get down into those dungeons. Dan would let me down now, it's Sam we need to win around. The only thing I could use to get there quickly, realistically, was my body, but that hinged on Dan also liking the idea I put forward to him.
The elevator dings as I step out onto my floor, walking across to my rooms. I enter, quickly stripping out of my clothes and throwing them down the laundry chute. I've got just under 2 hours before dinner, which is more than enough time to have a shower and make myself look good before I meet up with Dan and the rest of the security guards.
I enter my bathroom, letting out a scream. Dan is waiting for me, leaning against the bathroom counter, stark naked, his election evident.
"You gave me a f*****g heart attack Dan!" I cry, heart rate returning to normal.
"I thought I would come and see what you wanted to talk about now, and I know you take a shower after work" he murmurs, walking across to me and fisting his hand in my hair, tilting my face up to his as his mouth claims mine possessively. I wrap one arm around his waist, as my other hand snakes down to his member, slowly tugging.
"Is that so?" I whisper. "Well I'm very dirty, and I'm taking a shower now. You can join if you want." I extract myself from him, purposefully swaying my hips as I walk towards the showers.
Dan is wrapped around my finger at this point. He will agree to whatever I want. I look over my shoulder at him, watching as he follows me like a love sick puppy. Getting him to agree to my idea and making him think it's something he also wants is going to be easier than I thought.
SOLANA
"I don't understand why I can't come with you," Ama says, holding me close to her.
"It's bad luck to see the dress before the ceremony!" Blair admonishes, slapping Ama's arm.
I laugh, leaning back into Ama. "I'm going to be gone maybe two hours maximum. I don't want to infringe on Blair's time with her mum, and we need to make sure the dress fits perfectly for tomorrow."
"I still don't understand why I can't see you in the dress."
"It's bad luck!" Blair exclaims again, hitting the elevator button. The doors ding open as we all step in, hitting the button for Blair's floor and our own.
"If I could come up with you, I would," Erik says. "I have this feeling that Bebhinn is going to hate me but I need to be there to see her."
"My mum isn't going to hate you, Erik. She will welcome you because you're my mate."
"I'm also a man..." he replies with a short laugh. "I'm not exactly what she thought you would be bringing home to the family dinner."
"She'll love you because I love you," Blair insists, smiling up at him.
I roll my eyes at the discussion, leaning back into Ama fully. I could feel her taut, washboard abs underneath her shirt and it was driving me crazy. She was literally chiselled to perfection. The elevator pings, and I extract myself from Ama with a pang. "I'll see you in less that two hours. Go and work out apparently you're used to being in the gym when I'm not there." Ama's eyes cloud over as I absentmindedly reminded her about the time we were separated. "Oh Goddess, I didn't mean to upset you!" Blair holds the elevator door open as I lean up on my tiptoes, pulling Ama into a kiss. "I'll be up soon, I promise," I whisper against her lips as I pull away again.
"If you aren't up in two hours I'm coming down for you," she replies, a wry smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
"It's a deal," I say, smiling back as I walk out the elevator. The doors ping shut as we turn around, walking towards the living room, Blair already on her phone texting her nana we were free.
The now familiar glow from the teleportation spell fills the living room, as Erik chews on his lip. I've never seen him this nervous before. Scratch that- I've never seen him nervous before. "Bebhinn is going to love you because Blair loves you. Just show her what an amazing guy you are, OK?" I say, glancing up at him as Willow and Bebhinn, Blair's mum, materialise in the living room. He gives one curt nod as Blair leaps over into her nana and mum's arms. I stand back, a wave of sadness suddenly descending on me. I'll never get to experience that. I'll never see my nana or my parents. Never get to cuddle them or talk to them.
I steel my face, smiling as I look on. It's fine. I have Ama, I have this Pack. Willow looks up, ushering me over. I smile wider as I cross the room, Willow grabbing me and dragging me into the group hug.
When everyone finally steps back Bebhinn hones straight in on me. "You really do look exactly like your mum," she says with a slight gasp.
"So I've been told," I say with a wry smile.
"And you, you must be Erik." Bebhinn steps forward, looking over him appraisingly. "Treat her right and we will never have any issues, you understand?"
"Yes ma'am," Erik says, looking like a deer caught in the headlights.
"Let's get to the dress fitting!" Willow says, ushering me out, leaving Blair, Erik, and Bebhinn in the living room.
...
"Willow... This... This is beautiful," I say, spinning around in Blair's dressing room, looking at the dress from all angles. A floor length dress cascades down my body. The top layer of fabric is a ivory tulle, covering a sheath of fabric covered in thousands of iridescent sequins. The dress is essentially backless, dropping in a deep V shape to just above my ass, thin ivory straps criss crossing across my back up to my neckline, a swooping cowl neck that accentuates my breasts. "Isn't this a bit too... sexy?"
"Well, I took some liberties with the design," Willow says with a smile. "But this is based on what your mum wore at her own Luna Ceremony, it's just been... updated."
I rush over to her, pulling her into a hug. "Willow, I can't even put into words how perfect this is. Thank you, thank you so much."
"Your parents would have been proud, Solana. Please never forget that. And they would have loved Ama." I smile at her, tears threatening to escape the corners of my eyes. Blair bustles in, sick of waiting outside.
"Oh my Goddess, Sol, you look beautiful!" She cries out, standing back to admire the dress. "Ama is going to lose her s**t over this, mark my words." I smile at her, pirouetting on the spot.
"Can you help me get out of it?" I say with a smile when I stand still. "I don't want to ruin it." Willow smiles, clicking her fingers. The dress disappears, materialising back onto the hanger on the door.
"Nevermind!" I say with a laugh, grabbing the jumper dress I was wearing earlier and shimmying back into it. "I am going to go and have an early night, but I will see you all tomorrow. Still on for our spa appointments in the morning?"
"Yes, one hundred percent," Blair says.
"Perfect. See you then." I pull Blair in for a hug again, before going over and hugging Willow. "Thank you again, Willow. It's perfect." Willow waves goodbye as I head out of the door towards the elevators. In the living room I can hear Erik and Bebhinn loudly debating about which football team is superior, England or Norway. I roll my eyes as I hit the elevator button, calling it down to Blair's floor. It pings open and I step in, hitting the button for my floor. I chew on my lip, reminiscing about the feel of Ama's abs against my skin. She had better not be busy in the gym at the minute. I needed a workout of my own.
