Life of a Broken Heart

Chapter 1 - First Meeting

The sun had risen high above the forest, surrounded by a sizeable community of wolf shifters. This pack is the second strongest pack in Europe. They make the Howling Wolf pack into a small community of powerful warrior’s, doctors, entrepreneurs and businesswoman. Each family holds a place within the community of the pack. One youthful woman has proven herself over the years of joining the pack. With her need to help the innocent young pups, the outlook of using her needs to fight against the rogues that dare come anywhere near her home.

Making sure each warrior can survive and return home to their own mates as a family. During the attacks by rogues, having to fight in small armies to help defend the pack from other major packs, jealous of how the howling wolf pack can live among themselves without the needs of worrying about the mortals finding out their ways of living. Trying her damn hardest to keep those from losing the one thing that keeps them living every day.

Each pack member she has met while living within the Howling Wolf Pack has brought her one thing or another in gratitude for being the one to save their own mates and making sure they make it home in one piece. Every day, she dreams of having that connection with her mate and being accepted by him.

It brought her happiness to see them all together, watching the young 16-year-olds meeting their mates for the first time. Seeing them all happy and having the strong connection of the mate bonds clear as day. The pain in her own soul and in her broken heart knowing that her chance of having that powerful connection with her second chance mate may never happen. Today was a special day for all, the Alpha’s son will return from his training trip with the Royal Blue Moon Wolf Pack along with his chosen Beta, Delta, Gamma, and Top warrior from other packs chosen to become the next in line for the pack.

Each one chosen has to accept their positions from the Alpha King himself. They will accept the positions appointed them from within the training camp at the Alpha’s King home. This ordeal is tremendous among the fellow pack members of the Howling Wolf Pack of Sicily, Italy.

Seanna Myst’s POV

Sitting in my bright blue lounge chair out on my balcony in my small cottage home near the center of the pack grounds just thinking back to my life 6 years ago today.

“Just knowing how my life turned out. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love living in the howling wolf pack. Being accepted by everyone here since day one of my under studies with Lexi has helped me to understand myself even more.” Sensing her wolf awakens from her nap from within her own soul.

“Lilianna, how was your nap?” sighing in contentment, scanning the woods near my small cottage home, making sure no rogues are anywhere near my home and enormous family.

“Good, my nap was good. Um, sea. I feel like something will happen tonight at the gathering at the Alpha’s home.” Stretching out her enormous large white sliver body from within her human counterpart, soul and mindscape.

“I know. I can feel it, Lili. Let’s just hope whatever will happen. We must keep our own guard up at all times tonight” finishing my mental link with Lilianna, smiling at her child like antics towards what I told her. Getting up from my lounge chair scanning one last time letting my senses take full control opening my mind link waiting for my alpha to connect to the mind link. 

“Seanna, is everything, all right?” spoke a deep sensual powerful voice coming from within the mind link.

Shaking my head, smiling to myself towards the worry in her alpha’s voice. Making my way back inside my room, closing the sliding glass door behind me. 

“Alpha, I just wanted to let you know that I have doubled checked the surroundings of our pack grounds and far past the medium entry into our lands. I have sensed none, sensed no rogues for miles.” Taking off my silk robe, rummaging in my closet looking for something casual to wear, waiting for my alpha to respond through the pack link.

“Thank you, Seanna. Can try to keep your guard up tonight? I just want this party for my son to be something he can remember after he takes over” After ten minutes of looking, I picked out my favorite dress Lexi bought me for my 18th birthday.

“Yes, Alpha. I will make sure everything will be perfect tonight” closing the pack link with my alpha, I grabbed my deep green knee length light flows dress that extenuates my small petite hourglass shape. Making my way into my bathroom. Showering after the exhausting day. 

Once I finished, I stepped out of my shower, grabbed my blue puffy towel, drying myself off. Turning around to face my full-length mirror, looking over my nude body with a critical look, shrugging my shoulders. Not caring if my body is petite with large hips, small waist, size 32 D breasts. Turning around from the mirror, I grabbed my dress and putting it onto my frame, sighing with nerves racking up from within my body. Grabbing my brush to brush out my thick, long blood red hair. Detangling my red locks, leaving it to lay free down my back. One last look in the mirror, smiling at my appearance of myself. 

“Well, hot damn! Sea, we look HOT!” Shaking my head with amusement shining in my bright blue eyes at Lilianna’s comment.

“Lili, please. We look grand.” Closing the link between myself and Lilianna, making my way to the Alpha’s home. Locking up my home. Sighing once again, feeling my nerves act up since I left my home.

“I hope my nerves can just go away. Not understanding, why they are acting like this.” Finishing up my own thoughts. Shaking my head to see if that will help get rid of the nerves throughout my body.

“Seanna, I feel something pulling my soul. It feels like a warm sun is calling for me. For us.” Lilianna stated.

Stopping myself before entering the back yard of the alpha’s home. Closing my eyes to calm down my racing heart, letting Lilianna take over to find what has been causing this warm feeling. Taking a small sniff letting my small button nose lift into the air trying to figure out what the scent was.

“This scent smells like fresh ocean water and sandalwood” opening my bright blue eyes, shivering from my head the calming scent we had smelled coming from the backyard. Making my way to the gate, opening up the gate door, letting myself into the backyard, trying to find Lexi in the enormous crowd of fellow pack members.

Sighing from all the surrounding noise. One thing on my mind was the calming scent I had picked up. Scanning the backyard while making my way towards the open backdoor.

“Seanna! Wait up!” turning around, seeing Lexi running over to me, excited with some else with her I have yet to meet. “Lex, where the hell were you? I was looking all over for you?” smiling a slight smile towards my dear friend who had taught me everything she knew about being a doctor.

“Seanna, I was just reconnecting with Dominic by the refreshments.” Shaking my head, smiling at my friend, amused by her hyper antics.

“Anyway, Dom. This is Seanna. She is the new pack doctor.” Lexi replied with enthusiasm.

Looking towards the adolescent man before me, I noticed how he looks so much like his father; I knew he would be handsome with his sharp jawline and piercing hazel eyes that could bring you in and see through your soul. “It was nice to meet you, Alpha Dominic.” Giving him a slight smile in greeting.

“Like wise, Seanna. My father has spoken of you since this morning.” Dominic spoke with a strong deep rich voice. Nodding my head, understanding with Alpha Richardson’s respect towards me.

“Well, it was nice to meet you, Dominic. I will see you around again soon?” bowing in respect towards the young alpha and saying my good byes to them both. I take my leave, walking off towards the back gate once again.

“Lili, I think a run will do us some good. I am getting a vibe that I don’t like” after taking my leave from my friend and future alpha. I make my way towards the edge of the forest near the alpha’s home. “Yeah, I am getting the same vibe. I’m just not sure if it’s a good vibe or a bad vibe” laying her sliver white fur head upon her crossed front paws.

Breaking the mental link with Lili, I continued to scan around the forest, making sure I was alone. I take off my dress and shoes, placing them near the familiar oak tree. Standing back up closing my twin blue crystal eyes letting my shift take control. Once I knew we shifted, I shook out our white sliver fur, taking a slight step into the forest on all four paws. We were larger than an average wolf shifter, maybe smaller than an alpha wolf.

“Lili, you can take full control tonight. I know how much you need this.” Speaking and to my best friend and partner throughout our mind link.

“Hell yeah!” Lilianna said while jumping up and down in excitement.

Lilianna’s POV

After Seanna gave me full control on our run, we haven’t had in the last few weeks. I know how worried and stressed-out Sea has been. Ever since she knew of the young alpha Dominic’s return. Since then, sleep was hard on us as we had to make sure rogues have not entered our pack territory.

Stopping in my tracts, I had heard something near the lake we go to during the summer. I made my way towards the lake, hiding our scent in the process encase it was a rogue nearby. Making my way towards our lake through the bushes. Searching around the area in our surroundings.

Making my way towards the water, scanning the area for the intruder, feeling like someone was watching me. I knew that seanna was resting while I was in control during this time. Making my way towards the water to take a drink from the clear blue water. Taking a small drink, I kept up my guard, trying to pinpoint where the intruder was located. Lifting my sliver white wolf head up towards the sky. Sniffing the air to locate the person or rogue if need be. Taking a deep small sniff in, I knew we would be in trouble the moment I caught the same scent we had scented earlier today.

“Seanna, you need to wake up. We have company.” Lowering my head down, faking that we would submit when we would take a run for it back to our house nearby. Letting my violet eyes roam around the area, trying to pinpoint where he was located.

“Lilianna. Who is nearby?” Seanna asked. 

Shaking my head in slight fear and joy. “Seanna, I believe we have found our second chance mate” taking a small step back towards the edge of the forest near the other side of the river.

“second chance, mate?” Just hearing how nervous seanna sounded like I knew we had to make it back home before he saw us. Making the last choice, I turn around seeing a large golden wolf the same size as us, bigger than we were. He had deep rich brown eyes staring back at us with curiosity in them.

Jumping backwards, I let out a slight growl, putting myself into a small fighting stance against this golden wolf. Lowering my head getting ready to flee, I could notice that he moved next to me sniffing along my neck making me shiver from the proximity. Just watching him with my violet eyes, becoming curious as he lays down looking at me with his deep rich brown eyes asking me to join him. Not sure if I should rest with him, even knowing he was our mate.

Seanna Myst’s POV

Taking back the control of the situation, I noticed how close he was to us and saw that he was laying his head on the ground upon his golden paws. I knew if we stayed, we would not want to leave. Yes, it hurt so much to leave him like this. I knew we had to run. What I had noticed was that he was part of our pack. His aura was something else. He must our new Beta. With the power coming off of him, seems different.

“Lili, I will take the chance and make it back home quick.” Taking a step back, I knew I had to get away from our mate. Even though the pain was hurting my heart even more. Ambling backwards away from our mate, hearing him growl. I knew it did us in from the moment we meet him. Turning around and I took off towards the way to my house.

Ignoring the deep warning growl coming from our mate, turning my head, I noticed he was chasing us back towards the pack grounds, towards the center of town. Making the quick decision, I had to lose him from within the crowded areas of the town center. Pushing us harder to reach home before he could reach us. Seeing my house so close, I made it just before he could reach us. Making the jump high towards my balcony window shifting mid-air back into my human form. Opening the balcony door, making it back inside before closing and locking the door.

Sliding my body down to ground, placing my folded hands against my chest, I knew my heart was racing with so much adrenaline and fear coursing through my body. I took a peek outside my house, I noticed a very muscular well-built man with dark chestnut brown shoulder length hair tied in a loose ponytail; he was only wearing a pair of baggy shorts upon his strong muscular toned legs, standing under my balcony, arms crossed against his enormous chest.

“Well sea, mate looks very yummy and sexy as all hell” Blocking my mind link with Lili from her comment, letting my face become as bright as own hair.

“Lili, shut it! You, don’t think he will stay there all night, do you?” not going to wait for Lili to talk back I made my way towards my bed trying to ignore the image of my sexy mate standing there with his strong body looking as fierce as he had looked. Falling face first into my bed, not caring that I was naked.

All I could think about was his piercing deep green eyes. Sleep over took me in seconds. He was on my mind my dreams were all about him in his wolf form which was a beautiful sight to see, with the bright golden color and seeing his strong hard body and his green eyes piercing my soul.
