Letter to my Readers
People have been asking me the order of the books. You can read them in any order, if you find a character you like, maybe I wrote their story too. In terms of time, they go:
Nadine 1-7
Starlet
Starlet Mate Games
Lost Queen Alden
Lost Queen Kehlani
Echo
Echo 2.
When I first started writing, I had an idea for a book. But I had no idea how to write a book or even where to start. So, I decided to write the backstories of the girls. Nadine, Kehlani, and Echo are 3 of the main characters in the books I eventually want to write. I had to start somewhere and using stories to build up the girls' characters seemed like a good idea.
I started with Nadine. The story was never meant to go public. It was simply me learning to write. Learning about writing. It wasn't supposed to be a long book. Just a short book helping me to learn more about character building. Well, I f****d that all up. 7 full length books later, I have Nadine. Mostly, I put the characters in weird positions and had weird things happening to them, so I could develop the characters and see how they would react. So, she was done and I love my characters in that book.
After Nadine, I thought I would try writing for people. I wrote Alden with a plot line in mind. I had the whole idea planned out. I was not letting him turn into 7 books. I was not making that mistake again. But people started reading Alden and liked it. So, I decided to put Nadine on this app. Maybe other people would like it too? I don't know. It took a long time to write, and I love the characters, so why not? Nadine does have a beginning, middle, and end. It is a story, a very long story: The story of Nadine, and the story of me learning how to write.
Moving on. My stories have gotten much shorter. I have learned a lot about plot lines and characters. Going forward, I would like to try writing in 3rd person. Some authors are amazing at it and others are quite scary. I would like to try, but I don't want it to be so weird nobody can understand what the hell is going on. The thought of writing from another perspective seems alien to me. I don't know if I will be able to pull it off. I'll try eventually.
I do not have a website. At this time, I'm not making a website. They cost money to host and my books are free. This is me learning to write. I'm not charging for it. Maybe after I get through all the backstories, if I feel more confident in my writing, I could build a website and take this more seriously. We'll see how it goes.
Lastly, I want to thank all of you. It means so much to me that someone would read something I wrote. I appreciate the feedback. I'm glad people love my characters as much as I do. It's hard to believe other people could like something I created from nothing. I'm so happy to be writing, and I'm lucky I found this app. You are an amazing group of people. So positive and supportive. So, thank you all. I appreciate the follows, likes, comments, messages. You are amazing.
