Introduction
A Central American drug lord is an extremely powerful man. He rules his kingdom, controls government officials as well as the police and does whatever he wants in spite of the law. So what happens when a man who he trusts betrays him? What happens when someone steals from him or is caught having s*x with his beloved teenage daughter. A quick death would be the easiest way out for either of these men but that does not satisfy his need for revenge.
Adam Jensen was a commodities trader on Wall Street. His knowledge of computers and the inner workings of the stock trading system allowed him to launder millions and millions of dollars for Rafael Rodriguez. He made one mistake however. He skimmed several of these millions for himself and hid them in overseas accounts.
After mysteriously disappearing from a Caribbean cruise Adam finds that his punishment far exceeds his crime. A bullet in the back of the head would have been a lot easier than spending the rest of his life in a torture chamber being in constant pain and absolute misery.
Adam finds himself in forced hard labor with cruel punishments and horrendous tortures deep in the jungles of Honduras for several months before ending up on the auction block in Rio de Janeiro. His agonizing existence goes from bad to worse when he is bought by the great granddaughter of a Nazi sadist.
Every day is a repeat of the last one as he endures a variety of cruel punishments and brutal bondage.
A young man who also crossed Rafael Rodriguez ends up in the very same dungeon and the heinous games and punishments continue.
We have all heard the phrase, “Every cloud has a silver lining”. It is a twist of fate that changes the lives of these two men or does it?
