Simple I watch a lot of TV when Gall is away. One program featured a British couple who’d worked in the Secret Service during World War II. That’s where they met. They both worked in the same building—she was a code-breaking mathematician, and he was a tactician of some sort—but because they were assigned to different missions, neither could discuss what they did all day. Under the Official Secrets Act, even after the war was over they couldn’t disclose their assignments. The couple courted, married, and had children together, but they were in their late 70’s before they finally discussed their roles in the war effort. Most people wouldn’t believe anyone could keep such a big secret from their spouse for years upon years... but I believe it. I believe it because I live it. It’s no
