I disliked violence. I know that sounded silly coming from someone who had relied on the blood of the living to survive for over five hundred years and had killed their own father the moment they transitioned into their new life, but since then, I had only hurt as a last resort, until now. Seeing Akio charging at my partner had made me see red for the first time since watching my father attempt to hurt my sisters. I wanted to see him suffer for as long as possible before I took his life, but I also needed answers, especially since I had found out that this was not the first time he had acted aggressively towards Ivy.
