After Barret drove Skyla home, he got into his own car and, as instructed, went back to Winifred's dorm. He had to keep his eye on Winifred, not just because Skyla had asked him to but because he noticed how suspicious she looked after she exited that bathroom.
Her whole countenance had dropped, and to his surprise, he felt somewhat worried for her. This was weird because his job was simply to guard and protect his clients, not get external feelings like pity and care.
