"What if it had been positive? What would you have done?" Kai asked, watching a hawk.
"I would have told you guys. I promise. But I didn't want to bring it up when it wasn't… when it didn't matter anymore." I explained.
"I didn't want you guys to freak out," I said quietly, my voice softer than I intended. "It wasn't anything in the end."
Kai's brow furrowed, and he set down the whisk he had been holding. "Skyla, you were worried we'd freak out?."
"We would be surprised but freaking out? Not our style." Blaze added, crossing his arms, the envelope still clutched between his fingers.
