Courtney wasn't lying this time around. I could tell because of the blood link.
"You are of no use anymore then," Blaze gritted, glaring at Courtney, who flinched when she met Blaze's death glare.
"She might be. Let's keep her alive for now," Ryder said, stopping his brother from attacking Courtney.
"I'll be outside," Kai muttered under his breath. He walked out of the basement before anyone could respond.
"Same with me," Blaze announced and stormed out.
Courtney sighed in relief when Blaze exited the basement and shut the door behind him. It seemed like she was more scared of Blaze, and I could see why. If not for his brothers, Blaze wouldn't have hesitated to kill Courtney the moment they found out about her shady business with her vampire kind.
