"The Council is extremely worried by these abductions. If anyone pieced together what even one of those young women could do, what would they do with four?" Alpha Darius allows that horrible question to hang in the air. My stomach churns at the thought.
"They might take the most powerful she-wolf as their own Luna," I say flatly. That could be our Caly. If she ever mastered her control, it would certainly be possible.
"Council believes it would be far worse than that. What if they create a harem for themselves, or breed them like a damn puppy mill? What if they rented out their uteruses to any Alpha who could pay a hefty price to create a superior line of wolves?"
"I personally interviewed some of the Rogues. One girl suggested that some of the Council might be crooked.
