Leon The coronation happened so fast. This was what I had wanted, what I had waited for all this years and went through hardship to train for it. Now that it is here, it felt surreal. It makes me wonder if I would end up doing something good. The throne felt so much comfortable, without my father sitting on it, giving out orders while looking down on others. “Indeed, a woman was the one that killed the Alpha King.” Shelly, the pack witch revealed. I had called her over to the throne room, to hear what she has to say about father’s death, as I am expected to report to the council as soon as possible. But they do know that I am not my father and I shall not report each of my steps to them. I am a man of my own, and with me, the change would begin. “A human at it, powerful than anyone that I have ever come across, not even a werewolf could stand close to her.” She added. I felt myself boiling with anger, hearing what she had just said. How could a human be stronger than a mighty creature? Humans are known to be weaklings, nothing but our slaves. Ours to own. “Is there a way you could track down the person?” I questioned. “I can’t due to the strong aura of the woman. She is not just stronger than any low level of werewolf but even you.” She pointed out. How could that be possible? A woman stronger than me? That shouldn’t exist. “If you would take my advice, then it should be that you shouldn’t go after the person for your safety and that of the kingdom. You are doing it for all of us.” Shelly advised. Shelly doesn’t actually have to reveal who had done it, it is simple because we only have one human lady in this kingdom and it is no one other than Mia. She was the one that last served father. Although, she had done me a favor by driving the old man to meeting his ancestors finally, she has to answer to her crimes. I can’t let a woman way stronger than me around the kingdom. “You can go, Shelly. I will do the rest by myself.” I told her, putting together my hands. “You must pay heed to my words, Alpha Leon. Don’t dare find the woman and hurt her, or else, you will digging your own grave.” Shelly warned again. My tongue clicked together, as I imagined what gave Shelly the impression that I was a man like my father, to easily pay heed to her words and wait for her others. “Perhaps, you head back home and do what you have always done better.” Walking away from the throne room, I ignored the calls of Shelly. There was nothing more that she was going to tell me. We both know who the culprit is, but because of her own beliefs, she would rather we let the murderer go and I can’t let that happen. Mia deserves whatever comes her way. First, she had tried to seduce me, when she had learned that we were mate so that she could take everyone’s attention from her plan. Then she went ahead to poison him, when no one had her eyes on her. She wasn’t sure that the tables were going to turn on her, unless she is planning something. And if she is, then I wouldn’t let her get over me. “What are you doing here? You were meant to be at the school.” Rachel said as I ran into her. I stared at her face, feeling myself calming down. “I don’t feel the urge to go, Rachel.” I responded walking past her. But Rachel would always be Rachel. She would ignore whatever attitude that I give her and run after me. “This is your graduation, our graduation which happens once in a lifetime. You can’t get this experience from anywhere.” Due to father’s death, the graduation was rushed, to make people think that I am already qualified to be the Alpha. I have been qualified to be the Alpha the day that I had my coming of age but none of them had wished to acknowledge that. Father would rather order me around, bark down at me and treat me like a four years old, just so the council wouldn’t request that he gets down from his position. A p***y is what he had always been. “You seem not to be in the mood.” Rachel uttered, standing right in front of me. “There is a party later at my house, be there.” With that, she winked at me and walked away. I shook my head, taking slow strides to the house. If I am to go to the dungeon right now and meet Mia, then I could end up killing her due to the anger that I am trying so hard to press down right now. A shower and a drink would be the only thing that would let me have my sanity back. “Would you be going to Rachel’s party?” My wolf, Cole questioned. I hummed to his question, unable to answer because I am not sure. Not going would only anger Rachel while I don’t have the strength to be around anyone right now. The air stiffened as I stepped into the house. It carried more of father’s statues and pictures, every structure in the entire house screams about him. Hitting the nearby statue, I waved my hands at the guard nearby. “Have the entire house cleared before tomorrow.” I ordered. “Yes, Alpha Leon.” The guard responded, his body shaking as he spoke. The more I looked around the living room, the more I remembered the kind of life father had led me. Being the only child without a mother had made him turned me into a monster that he couldn’t control at a time. The monster that he would have gotten rid of, if he had gotten the chance to. I had turned more of a burden to him a time that he hated me more than anything.
