VIOLET’S POV I didn’t realize how exhausted I was until I had to step out of the car. While I still had my eyes on the building in front of me, I felt a hole bore into my head. I turned to find Cecil fixedly staring at me, as if he was waiting for me to come to my senses. The stare was intense and I couldn’t help but feel pulled towards him. Sensing that, I pulled on my jacket nervously and then forced my lips into a tight smile. “Nice place you have here.” I said, pointing to nowhere in particular. He nodded, then gestured for me to follow him. “You haven’t seen anything yet.” He glanced over for a moment before facing forward again. “You’ll love it more if you see the inside.” He said, walking towards the front door. My insides twisted; nerves tangling and butterflies taking flight.
