Time For a Change

Ashton's POV

I followed behind Killian and Charlie back to th house and all of us were smiling like fools. My Luna is pregnant! I would have another family member and another person to protect. I know Killian was happy because we woulnd't let go of Charlie even asked if she needed to be carried back home so she wouldn't hurt herself or their pup. 

We arrived at the house and I headed toward the kitchen to make everyone something to eat and to heat up some soup to try to feed the unnamed girl upstairs. It had beenf our weeks we found her. She hadn't woken up yet but Charlie said the doctor told her that the girl needed rest. Once the girl was awake I would question her as to what she was doing on our land and how the hell she knew Charlie. I was deep in thought when I heard the sliding glass door open. I felt hands wrap around my waist. At first I thought it was Charlie. Over the weeks we had grown close and I viewed her as a baby sister and she would always try to sneak up on me and hug me. She and I both came from f****d up families. Our dads' could teach classes on how to abandon your kids. I went to turn around to hug when I notice that it was Layla who was holding me.

I pushed her away and growled. She smiled seductively, " Come on Ashton I know you want me."

I made a gaging noise, " The f**k I don't. You have slept with basically every guy in this pack and you have clawed your way back into Killian's life. You are ruining his chance with his mate. GET OUT!"

How many times did I have to tell her this. Charlie was right when she used the term Hoe Wolf when it came to Layla. I was about to push her out the pack patio door when Killian and Charlie came into the Kitchen laughing and holding hands. 

I saw Charlie's smile fade away as she dropped Killian's hand. She grabbed her sandwich and the girl's soup from me then went up stairs. I looked at Killian and Layla. I could feel the s****l tension in the air and it was making me sick. So I left the kitchen and headed to my room.

I wanted to strangle Killian for his stupidity. He just found out his mate was pregnant with his pup and it seemed like he was ready to fully commit to Charlie or so I thought. All it took was him looking at Layla for him to forget about Charlioe. Charlie deserved better than Killian. I gorwled as I threw myself on my bed. I decided to grab a quick nap before I talked to Killian about the Luna Crowning tomrrow.

Killian's POV

I couln't take my eyes off of Layla. She was sexy as ever wearing her short shorts and bikini top. For once the sight of her didn't really do anything for me. She walked up to me and started to rub her hand along my soft didck. When she didn't feel it rise she started to pout.

I moved away from her, " Layla, stop. I am not in the mood. I want you to pack up your things and go back to the pack house."

There was anger across her face as she growled at me. She stomped her foot, " NO! You moved me in so we could continue our fun. You haven't touched me since you brought that skank here."

I growled and took a threating step towrad her, " Watch what you say about your Luna. She is my mate and is carrying my pup."

Shock spread across her face as she stepped back. She bowed her head, " I will have my stuff out within an hour."

I watched her walk back to the pool house. I sat on the couch in living room placing my head in my hands. I should have never moved her into the pool house. I thought I could have the best of both worlds but when Charlie basically kicked me out of my own house I felt my heart shatter. When she told me she was pregnant I felt like the Moon Goddess had given me a second chance. A chance to make everything right with Charlie and actually be a family. I would not blow my chance at this. 

I sat there debatting whether or not to go talk to Ashton or Charlie. In the end I wanted to see my mate. I took the steps two at a time till I was on her floor. I waled to her door and stopped. I was bringing my hand to knock when I heard giggling coming from behind the door. When I opened it I saw the girl we found sitting up right holding her soup and talking with my mate.

She is awake at last!
