Reluctant Mate

Time For Goodbye

Charlie's POV

   That Fucktard had s*x with me. Not only did he have s*x with me but he marked me without my permission. Oh that stupid f**k thought I would just leave him did he. Well he had another thing coming. I allowed him to pull me back into the party and drag me to my father and Sienna. Sienna's eyes shot straight to our hands whereas my father's eyes shot straight towards my fresh new mark. I saw anger in his eyes as he growled, "YOU MARKED MY DAUGHTER!"

   Sienna's head shot straight up to look at my mark. I wanted to cover it right then and there especially when I saw Orin and Alec approach us. Alec grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him as if to protect me. Orin stood next to him, " Charlie are you alright?"

   I am so glad he didn't call me Cha Cha or i would have died right there. I was about to answer when I saw 9 huge warriors flank behind Killian and his Beta stand right next to him just waiting for the order to attack. I could feel Killian's eyes on me waiting for me to say something. I felt my mind tingle as our bond link click into place, 'Either you tell them we are mates and take your place at my side.... OR I will slay everyone here.'

   I knew he would do it too. I pushed Alec and Orin apart and next to Killian facing my family and my pack. I cleared my voice so I could project my message loud and clear, " Stand down. Killian is my mate!"

   Everyone started to cheer and congratulate us.My father hugged me for the first time since I could remember. I just stood there. I didn't return his hug. He stepped back and said to Killian, " Alpha Killian I am honored to welcome you into our family."

   Sienna entwined her arms around my father, " Alpha Killian I am so glad that you are my daughter's mate. I think it is best that ya'll stay here for the night since it is so late and head back in the morning."

   I almost growled at Sienna. I had a plan to leave tonight and now this b***h was basically telling us to stay. I searched the crows for my Uncle Alec, I need to speak with urgently. I found him standing at the back of the room starring daggers at Killian. I let go of Killian's hand," Alpha if it is okay I would like to speak with my Uncle?"

    Killian nodded, " It is okay. Ashton will you keep an eye on her?"

   I almost went off on Killian right then. Did he seriously think I needed a babysitter just to speak to my Uncle? I looked at Ashton. He was the same height as Killian but skinnier with dark black hair and brown eyes. He had a small scar about his left eyebrow. He seemed like a runt of the litter. How did he become the Beta? I nodded toward my "This way then."

   Ashton kept 3 steps behind me as we walked to my Uncle. I block any other link I had except for Alec, 'I need to speak with you. we will talk through here but have a bullshit conversation with me about something so my babysitter doesn't catch on.'

   I walked up to my Uncle as Ashton positioned himself with in earshot of us. Alec started to talk about the first time I almost burnt the kitchen down,' Are ya'll really Mates?'

   Me: ' Yes. This throws my whole entire plan to leave out the window.'

   Alec: ' Actually not really.'

   Me: ' How the hell not?'

   Alec: ' Well you were planning to leave tonight. Instead of sneaking out and leaving and risking your fathers wrath once he sent warrior to retrieve you. Now you can leave with your mate and be safe to start a new life with him.'

   I growled through the link. My Uncle kissed my cheek and said, " You will do fine Junior."

   As my Uncle walked away I felt Killian behind me. I turned around and there he was standing all smug like. I wanted to knock that look of his face. I fought the urge to punch him. He took a step closer to me and said in a commanding voice, " You will not block me again mate. "

   I stared at him, " So what your saying is not only am I to be babysat but you will be listening into my conversations? All my Uncle and I were talking about is when I attempt to cook for the first time and burnt half the kitchen, he then wished me luck. So excuse me for not wanting to bore you with that. "

Killian grabbed my arm, " I don't give a f**k what you were talking about you will not block me again mate. We will be returning to my land tonight. You have an hour to pack."

   The urge to hit him again came back. This fucktard was pushing my buttons," I don't need an hour to pack. All i need is one bag and to say bye to my brother and uncle I just need 10 minutes to do that. "

He let go of my arm, " You have 10 minutes then. Ashton will go with you to make sure you are safe and have everything." 

   After he said that he turned away from me and walked toward a black SUV. I looked at Ashton with irritation, " Come on boy."

   Ashton actually shocked me when he said, " If I be a good boy will I get a treat or a belly rub?"

I started laughing hard, " Oh I do like you."

   Ashton smiled. Instead of walking behind me this time he walked right next to me. We made it to Alec's place where I grabbed my bag out of Alec's truck which seemed to confuse Ashton. I sighed, " I was planning to leave my pack tonight due to issues. "

   He seemed to understand and didn't question anything. I looked toward the front steps where I saw Alec and Orin. Orin looked to be holding back tears so I hugged him first, " O you will be fine without me. Remember your lessons. I am only a phone call away. Keep your grades up. "

    Orin nodded and let me go so that I could hug Alec. I started to cry when Alec hugged me as tight as he could. This man was my father in everything but blood. I was always planning to leave but now that I was it hurt. I held him even tighter and whispered in his ear, " I love you Dad!"

   After I said that I let go of him and turned away. I couldn't see Alec's reaction because if I did I would run back to him and beg him to not let me go. I took a deep breath and continued to walk with Ashton to the SUV where Killian was waiting. Waiting to take me to his land and to my new home.
