CHAPTER ONE CHEMISTRY
•Chapter One •
THERE is only one thing in this world that I hate more than Jake Paul.
Chemistry.
The whole thing about different elements and which ones are dangerous and which ones aren't is just confusing.
I mean what old man decided to think oh, Arsenic, that's poisons to humans, let me test it out?
Honestly I think chemistry is a worthless class to have.
It's not like I'm going to Walmart or the mall and stumble upon some uranium or Mercury and buy it. Like come on science, not everyone wants to buy s**t and discover it.
"Ariana, what's going on in that mind of yours?" My best friend Toni, says with a laugh.
"I'm just dreading and reminding myself how much I hate chemistry. Why did I have to have it first period?" I groan shutting my locker door shut and adjusting my bags strap.
"Well the new teacher that replaced Mrs. Wright is super hot." Toni replies wiggling her eyebrows at me making me laugh and shake my head.
"You know the only person that I find attractive is Cole Sprouse Toni." I say as we begin walking to our next class which was thankfully together.
I guess that's the only good thing that comes from chemistry.
"Trust me, he'll melt your lady parts instead of tingle them."
I roll my eyes and smile at everyone who acknowledged me in the hallway with either a smile or a wave.
Now I'm not popular, I'm far from that. People just know me by the fact that I'm apart of the dance company at the school and because my dad is the mayor of our small town in Portland.
In fact, our school doesn't have the cliche clique that you'd typically read in books. Everyone knows one another and everyone likes one another to a point.
"Have you talked to your dad yet?" I asked Toni giving her a side ways glance as she moved her brown hair out of her face.
Toni shook her head.
Toni was transgender. Her father worked over seas in the military and hasn't seen his family for three years. In eighth grade, Toni finally had the courage to tell everyone and ever since we've been closer.
Her father in the other hand doesn't know. She wanted to tell him in person, which to her luck would be in three days.
"I honestly don't know how he'd react hearing his son saying he wants to be a girl." Toni says shaking her head as I give her a soft smile.
"Don't worry. He'll understand." I say reassuring her as we enter the classroom.
The classroom was already filled with most of the students, which mostly consisted of the girls at the moment. They all had their chest pushed out like a male bird trying to catch the females attention, and had the make-up of Pennywise the dancing clown on their faces. Some even were applying it as the sat down holding their tiny mirrors from Sephora.
Honestly if you'd ask me, they just look desperate trying to add more gloss.
Kylie Jenner could do so much better than they are doing at the moment.
"My god, you'd think that Harry Styles was coming to our school with the way they're all acting." I whisper to Toni as we took our seats in the front of the class.
Toni giggles as she sets her binder on her desk and folds her hands over it before giving me a smirk.
"Just wait until you see him Ari, you'll understand."
I laugh shaking my head as I pull my phone out from my pants pocket and scrolled through i********:. I liked the typical Kim Kardashian picture along with Shane Dawson's pictures.
The class was slowly building up with the boys, the girls for once ignoring as they pass by not even giving them their annoying giggles.
I swear this teacher was going to start some apocalypse. It's unhealthy not hearing a girl flirting with one of the football boys.
"Did you see what Britney Spears posted?" Toni whispers showing me a video of Britney Spears doing yoga with a hot male.
"God I wish my body was that flexible and able to get that guy." I muttered with a sigh as Toni nodded her head in agreement.
The door gets shut, the talking dying down as everyone turns their attention away from their conversations. I sigh locking my phone putting it face down on my desk before leaning in my seat with my arms a crossed my chest.
"Good morning, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend." A husky voice speaks making all the girls in the classroom excluding me swoon over.
I roll my eyes as Toni lets out a dreamy sigh from beside me.
What the hell is wrong with everyone? He's just some teacher. It's not like he's Tom Holland or Zac Efron.
"I'm Mr. Giordano and I'll be your new chemistry teacher."
Another dreamy sigh escapes the girls earning another eye roll from me.
I looked up from my desk and over to the white board and stared blankly at it. Mr. Giordano's back was towards everyone, his white shirt was tucked in his pants, his arm stretched out as he wrote down his name in bold letters in a red expo-marker.
His muscles flexed as he put the cap back on, something that I knew he was just doing so that the girls would squeal just like they just did.
He turns around, my heart stopping as he smiles to the class.
Holy s**t!
I swear if my life was a movie right now, the son He's So Fine by The Chiffons would be playing right now.
Like no joke.
That's how good looking he is. L
Mr. Giordano leans against the desk that was near the white board, his arms crossing over his chest as his light brown eyes roamed around the classroom.
"I told you you'd understand." Toni whispers with a laugh as I shoot her a glare before sitting up straighter.
My action doesn't go unnoticed by her either because she sends me a smirk making me shoot her another glare.
"Now, I'm not actually going to teach anything today because it's my first day and I'd like to learn and get to know you guys better." Mr. Giordano says as he picks up a clipboard that our previous teacher left with all of our names on it.
He flipped it to where it was at our class and looked around the room before landing on the first person.
"You must be Audrey Brown."
Audrey, who was the typical good girl who was too shy for her own good nods her head her cheeks staining a light pink. "Y-Yes." She whispers earning a smile from Mr. Giordano.
"Hello Audrey, what do you like to do for fun?" He asks as Audrey looks away with a blush and shrugged her shoulders.
"I like to read." She states as Mr. Giordano nods his head still smiling.
"Do you have a favorite book?"
Audrey nodded her head looking down at her lap, her red hair blocking her face from view. "I like Harry Potter."
I tune out everyone as he goes down the roll. The only thing that catches my attention is when Julie Roger speaks.
"What do you like to do for fun Julie?"
"I'd like to do you, that is if you'd like me to." Julie winks with a smirk.
I roll my eyes and scoff. Of course Julie would say something like that. She opens her legs for anyone and everyone falls in her trap like a fly to a web. She's a black widow. Deadly.
"I'm sorry Julie, but you're far too young for me and it's very unprofessional. I'm afraid if you make another remark like that I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Mr. Giordano states the smile that was on his face dropping into a stern one.
Julie nods her head the smirk on her face dropping into a frown as she uncrosses her legs. I bite my lip trying to hold my laughter at the blush tainted on her face gets darker.
Mr. Giordano clears his throat making me snap my eyes away from Julie and over to him who was towering over my desk with a raised eyebrow. His strong cologne filled my nose, except is wasn't the ones that the boys that attended this school used. Instead of the strong disgusting smell, it was the rich yet delicious ones that only rich people could afford.
It was good. Too good.
"Ariana Montez?" He asks as I nod my head in confirmation. "Okay, what do you like to do for fun?"
"Dance I guess." I say with a shrug of my shoulders.
"What kind of dance?" He asks crossing his arms over his chest.
I blink back at him. What kind? No ones really asked me what kind, normally I just dance. I don't have a type.
"She's good in salsa." Toni says beside me.
Mr. Giordano and I snap our heads over to Toni who had a smile on her face. "She's super good she's also apart of the schools dance company." She says sending me a wink.
I roll my eyes as Mr. Giordano smiles and nods his head. "I'm an excellent salsa dancer as well."
As if on cue, the girls in the classroom squeal as I roll my eyes. Mr. Giordano stares me down for a second before turning his attention to the boy behind me.
I wait until he's a safe distant away from me to where I couldn't smell his cologne before releasing the breath that I was holding.
God, why were his brown eyes so haunting?
