I sleepily headed out the door and made my way into the kitchen, only to be greeted by the Greek God himself. He was preparing some coffee and tea, and as I watched him it was as if everything was just in slow motion. As I felt myself gaping at Damien, I quickly shook my head and snapped myself out of my daze. A part of me still kind of distrusts him, since he is in fact known as somebody who kills people in folktales and, at this point, it feels rude to simply ask ' Hey you used to kill people, right?'
I sighed to myself and shook my head once more.
"Good morning, did you sleep well? I wasn't sure what you liked, so I made coffee and tea." he chimed in.
"Coffee is good for me, thank you." I smiled sweetly at him.
I slowly made my way to the table and sat down. I grabbed the mug with two hands and gently blew on the drink. I took a sip and flinched as the hot liquid scorched my lip and my tongue.
"I also bought food and restocked the fridge with everything, since I don't really know what you liked to eat or drink." he carefully says as he opens the fridge.
As he opened it, I saw everything. He bought almost every drink, ice cream, and yogurt. This is too much food even for me, but holy hell will I enjoy my stay in this mansion. I'm pretty sure I will pig out on the snacks and finish everything sooner than it has to be.
"And one more thing, if you would let me I would like to pay for your schooling fees." he added in.
My eyes widened at his suggestion.
"I appreciate your gesture, but why would you do that?" I asked.
"I feel bad that there are things you have to go through since we aren't properly mated yet, and you are also a human. Think of this as my way to compensate for everything." he said.
"I am actually too stunned for words... But I can send you my bank account and you can send the money there..." I said.
I mentally whacked myself on the head for saying it as if I'm just in all of this just to get his money or something like that, even though it's not. At this rate, I might be able to finish my studies without any problems.
I headed back to my room to start getting ready for school, and my phone chimed in to see a huge amount of money sent into my account. This will be more than enough to get through my first year and my tutoring as well. Holy hell! He has a lot of money. I shook my head and started bathing and putting my clothes on for school. A few minutes after I had finished dressing up I heard a knock at my door.
"Nina?" he calls out.
"I'm coming. Give me a sec." I called out.
I smoothed my clothes and my hair, and I grabbed my bag as well. I head out the door to find Damien in a freaking suit! He looks so handsome. I can't even get over myself.
"I will be out of town for a few days since I have meetings with my editors." he says.
"Editors?" I asked.
"Yeah, I write books about dark psychology." he said as he gently tugged on his bag.
"Oh, so that's what you do." I mused.
"Yeap, so I will be gone at least 3 days. I will leave my number with you so you can call me or text me when you need me. Please refrain from doing so unless it is an emergency." he said.
"Of course, I'm not the type of girl who will bombard you with text messages just because I'm bored. I have school you know." I teased.
I watched him as he headed out the door, and as soon as he was gone I headed to school myself. It was pretty boring so the day couldn't be dragged on any longer. The moment my last class ended, I bolted out the door and headed out so I can just go straight home. It would be terrible if I left the mansion without anybody, I can't believe he is able to maintain such a big house by himself.
"Nina!" Sarah whined as she threw herself on my back.
"You scared me, Sarah." I frowned.
"You still look sick. Do you feel okay?" she asks as she scans my body.
"I'm doing okay but-" I said.
"That's great! So then maybe you could go to the bar with us tonight?" she interrupted.
"The bar?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her.
"Yes miss ma'am the bar. We haven't gone out in like forever." she whined.
"I want to go, but I can't. I'm not really in a situation where I can just go out if and when you want me to." I explained.
"Well, same for me. It wouldn't kill us to have this one night of fun for ourselves." she smiled widely.
"I just don't think this is a good time, Sarah." I said.
Knowing Sarah, she wouldn't really let me off of the hook that easily. She was shaking me and yelling at my ear that I should go nonstop. Well, maybe one night isn't going to hurt anybody, right? I will be fine.
"Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!" she yelled at me.
"OKAY! FINE! Let's go! You sure are a persistent woman." I rolled my eyes.
"Let's go now!" she whined.
"I am not going to a club looking like this! I'll look like a homeless person in the bar." I glared at her.
"Fine! Go home to change, I'll also go home to change. I will text you the address of the bar and let's meet there!" she said with a huge smile on her face.
It's just one night right? What could go wrong?
