Chapter 5 The sound of voices woke Hayden with a start. He glanced at the dogs who were lying on either side of them, sound asleep. He’d have thought one of them would at least bark if there was an intruder. Neal stirred then stretched and sat up. It took another few seconds for Hayden’s brain to register the fact the lights were on in what little of the kitchen he saw and the voices came from the television. “You look adorable in the morning,” Neal said softy. Hayden chuckled. “It’s not morning.” “Details.” Neal climbed to his feet and held out his hand for Hayden. “I believe I promised dinner.
