Sara’s POV She looked at me, her face full of concern. “Sara, you can tell me anything. What’s really going on?” I bit my lip, trying to hold back tears. “Mary, please, just trust me for now. I can’t explain everything, but I promise I’ll be okay.” Mary sighed, clearly unsatisfied but willing to let it go for now. “Alright, Sara. But remember, I’m here for you.” “Thank you,” I said softly, feeling a pang of guilt for not being able to tell her the whole truth. As Mary left, I lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling.
