Jerry took in his daughter’s adamant scowl, along with her words, and snorted his disgust. “Come on, squirt, and be realistic. Bonnie’s going back to work next week, and she’s probably got things to do. You’ve dominated her time for the past two weeks. Don’t you think she needs a chance at her own life?”
Jennifer sent him a chilling glare. “You call being all alone in a squinchy little house a life? Don’t be a dork, Dad. Anyway, I thought you were enjoying her company, too. Didn’t you kiss her goodnight when we dropped her off after the concert Friday evening?”
