Chapter 7Jerry pulled the Porsche up in front of the entry, hopped out, and strode into his house. He’d spent the whole morning mulling over his situation with Bonnie and decided he had to have it out with her, perhaps apologize. She’d clearly been upset, even appalled by the passion that had erupted between them. In retrospect, he was a little shocked himself. This morning, she hadn’t come out of her room by the time he had to leave. Maybe that was fortunate. He wasn’t his best early in the day before he got enough caffeine into his system to jump-start his brain. Coffee and colas were a bad habit he’d acquired in med school, a way to keep going long after energy and ambition had deserted him. If she’d appeared at breakfast, they would probably have gotten into an argument, and he’d have
