Chapter 6Jerry plowed one tired, stiff hand through his sweat-plastered hair as he steered the Porsche up the hill toward home with the other. After a busy morning in the office, he’d been making his rounds at the hospital when two emergencies arrived, back to back, both requiring reconstructive surgery. When he finished with the second one, he’d escaped as quickly as he could. Bone weary, he prayed he would not get called back tonight.
