Damon & Jerry
We were hiking the ridge high above the Lodge, in a remote and nearly inaccessible area of Damon’s property. In the previous year, after searching for access to the highest point, he’d found a rugged trail that led to the crest of the mountain where the view was the kind written about in blogs and the subject of YouTube videos delving into those out-of-the-way locations few have the opportunity to experience. I’d shied away from accompanying him and Jerry that afternoon. Frankly, I was scared of that precarious trail, and more importantly, worried that I wouldn’t be up for such an arduous hike.
