In Texas, by law, it must be sixty days before a divorce can be initiated. Someone was convinced at the time the law was passed that sixty days was long enough for people to cool down and think before litigation was initiated. I would have preferred to be able to decide for myself whether to cool down or not. Once I make a decision, I want to sort things out as soon as possible.
