Chapter 11

oday was one of those days Ann wasn't quite in a good mood as he woke up. It was one of those days, she wasn't sure if it was because of the crazy cramps she had overnight or the normal mood changes that came with periods and all. Ann struggled out of bed as she picked up her phone to message Troy, she missed him even greater than she had always today. He was always around and made sure she was okay when she was on her period. He always made her comfortable. He made sure he got her everything she craved. Made hot baths for her during days like this and made sure she did nothing stressful and was on the bed all day taking a nap.

After Ann sent Troy a message, realizing he hadn't dropped any this morning and also didn't facetime her. It was unusual of him so she was a bit worried. She realized sophie still wasn't back from the bar and thought she probably just stayed over at a friends place. Ann had assignments to submit with deadline and felt a little stressed because she still had to go over to the shop too.

Ann had her bath putting on her clothes, placed her laptop on the table next to her bed, sitting down in the chair in front of it. She typed in her assignment before handing it over. It was almost due for submission. Ann got up after she was done checking her phone to see if Troy had responded but still nothing. She picked up her bag calling an uber to get to the shop.

Few minutes later, Ann was in the shop. The shop wasn't as full as it always is today. It was just some clients around, mostly brides here for fittings with their already made clothes.

"Hey rose" she said as she worked past rose and don who were busy with cutting some pieces and putting it together.

"Hey Ann, you don't look as cheerful today, are you good" Rose asked concerned as she waited a bit facing Rose

"I will be fine, just a little bit under the weather and not a good mood too" Ann explained

"Take care dear, maybe you should take a day or two off and even the rest of the day" Rose suggested. She was such a nice person and Ann loved how she was so caring and loving. She couldn't have asked for a better person to work with.

"Thank you, I will just go and say hello to Mike" Ann said as she walked on

"Hey Ann, what's up" Mike asked as she got to where he was.

"Just not feeling too good today, not in a good mood"Ann explained.

"Let's go out then, let me take you put for lunch,my way of thanking you for yesterday" Mike said as he looked at Ann. He knew at least an outing should cheer her up, she really wasn't looking like herself.

"I don't know, I think I just want to go home really" Ann said. She wasn't sure she even wanted to go anywhere that wasn't home right now.

"It will only be for a few minutes really, once you're tired and want to leave, you can" Mike assured and Ann had no excuse anymore and just decided to go since she didn't want to stay home alone either with sophie not around. Sophie had just texted her that she will be staying over at a friends place for a few days and wouldn't be home.

"Okay, okay" Ann agreed

"Alright, let's go" Mike said as he took his jacket with him. There were no more brides to be seen for now and so he had lesser things to do.

Ann got into Mike's car and as he drove to a restaurant few minutes from the shop. Ann texted Troy again wondering what could have been wrong and why he hadn't picked any of her calls or texted her back.

"Is anything wrong" Mike suddenly asked as he drove. He probably had noticed the constant way Ann had been checking through her phone and had decided to ask.

No, I am good" Ann said not wanting to bother Mike with her issues. She knew he had so much already to deal with.

"Okay then"Mike said. "We are here"Mike said as he packed in front of the restaurant. It didn't seem like your typical restaurant. Only fee residents would know the place because it was quit hidden too.

"Where is this" Ann asked curiously as they got down from the car.

"It's a place I come to relax when stressed, it's actually a restaurant but only few people actually know of this place. It's pretty amazing with very nice food" Mike said as they both walked inside. The inside was even more amazing than the outside.

"This is beautiful " Ann said as she admired how lovely the interior designs are.

"Please can we get a sit" Mike asked then the waitress showed then to an empty spot at the spot

they both walked towards the seat then Mike pulled out the chair for Ann to sit on as he sat opposite her. he was glad he had convinced her to come along. he wasn't sure of the sudden interest in wanting to spend more time with Ann and especially after the time they were in his house together, it had intensified.

"so is there anything specific you would like to order" Mike asked Ann

"I will take anything you will have, you are the professional here and since you have been here before. it's better" Ann explained.

"okay then"

"by the way, I am glad you finally decided to come with me" Mike said with a smile.

"I couldn't say no to you, you are always really convincing" Ann said and they both laughed.

"so, how has your masters program been" Mike asked

"it's been really good, can be stressful sometimes but it's what I want anyways" Ann explained
