Karl Finds it Difficult to Focus
If Karl thought he was obsessed with Asha before they’d been together, the next few days made him feel like he really was going insane. It seemed like he thought of her every few seconds. At first he would send her a text to say he was thinking of her. Then, after he was up to ten texts in the first hour of work, he thought it might be an idea to dial it back a little. She replied to his initial flood of messages just once, with a simple smiley, and three kisses. No other words.
Her new job in sales meant Asha wasn’t in the office most days. Instead she’d be out visiting customers, and Karl desperately missed their lunchtimes together so much. At least twice a day she’d check in with Karl, the calls were brief and rather passionate.
