The Wizard and The Elder Wolf [MxM]

Prologue - Past... The Alpha wolf worked late at the night on that day when he felt one crushing pain in his heart... So painful that was like he was dying at that moment without knowing what was happening to him... He tried calling for his Beta help, but as he touched the phone, his vision became dark as the pain got stronger and stronger before he passed out on his office floor. ... Meanwhile...  A few hours earlier, far away from there a group of humans, who recently got into the adult life, drove on their way back home from a party, no thinking about nothing as they drunk and sing like It was their last day alive, their last day of fun. ... And sadly it was... They were just enjoying the moment, having a good time that they didn't mind about how much they had drunk already... Or how much their friend who was driving had drunk too... The young woman with blonde hair sang along with her friends in the backseat, no one realizing the weird movements that the car was doing, or the strong light coming to their direction as they laugh and asked the man to drive faster. They were younger... Who just wanted a good moment for one day, forgetting about everything as they thought they were finally adults, finally away from their parents and teachers as they didn't think how foolish their actions were. ... But everything ended so fast in one hurtless death, the blonde young woman was the first to die, her neck broked from the crush against the truck, ending her life in an unpainful way which was just felt by someone else... The Alpha who was left behind without knowing her, and felt so much the pain from losing his Mate on the other side of the country, miles away from where she and her friends lost their lives... Like one sad news on TV, the time didn't stop and one year went by so fast as Joseph was yet grieving alone for the death of someone he was never able to meet or know, someone who he didn't know the name or face...     The stronger rain was falling from the sky, hiding his sad howls from his Pack as he stayed until late in his office again, although the reason wasn't to work this time... Tears ran down the Alpha's face as the hand in his chest, reminded him that he could no longer hear their heartbeat. ... He had never felt so weak, so fragile, so Human as then... Cleaning his face, he decided to go back home to no worry anyone else as his Beta and Delta didn't stop calling him to know if everything was fine with their Alpha... Joseph never told to anyone about the year before, yet his dominant wolves could imagine what happened after they found him on that night. Paying no attention to the ringing phone, the Wolf went back to his car and started to drive to his Pack's land using the longest route back... He should be driving for about twenty minutes when something got his attention...  ...A car accident...   The scene was painful to anyone to see as the rain kept falling through the night, the man on the driver seat was already dead when Joseph got closer to the car, hearing a subtle heartbeat who fought for their life. At first, the Alpha thought it was from the woman beside the driver, but as he called and touched for her, he realized she was almost lifeless, just for a few seconds late his eyes met the very young brown ones... Panic was the only emotion on the little Chinese girl's face as she told him that she didn't want to die in between her short breaths. He didn't think twice before trying to save her in the only possible way for her condition then, turning the little girl in one of his own, in a Werewolf too, although a few people weren't happy after found out about it in his Pack, he was the Alpha and they were welcome to leave if they wanted. ... No matter what other people could say, Joseph would never regret his decision as to him, saving her was like a second chance gave by the Moon Goddess herself to do something that he wasn't able one year earlier... ... Even if it wasn't his fault... The little girl, Penelope soon became someone special in his life, being the child that he never had. The young Omega was loved by him and the other members as she grew up, however, it was a story already told as Joseph saw her and Alexander became the new Alphas from Mingan. He felt so much love and pride of the couple after everything they went through, and after, he... Once again, be broke for the same pain which allowed him to meet Penelope years ago. ... However, this time was different... Though Joseph didn't know exactly what, he just knew as the pain took over his body on those days... Far from there, a little hybrid boy cried hopelessly in his bed without even know why as he should be happy that he was able to run away from her again... To live another day as he and his father moved to another place far from where she almost killed him again. ... Without even knowing, she had taken something else from him... The little Samuel was so young that he couldn't even imagine what was missing inside him, what was the cause of that emptiness which made him cry every single night after it was taken from him...  The idea about a connection with someone else, about Soulmates wasn't something that would pass by a child's mind, and even more, one who tried to understand every single day what he was and why his own mother wanted him dead while his powers started to grow more and more... Samuel was already an adult when he finally realized what was missing in his life... No matter who he tried to be with, who he tried to kiss... No one could erase the feeling that something was wrong from him as his hate for her grow even more along the pain as he thought she had taken them from him while, a soon to be Elder Alpha, grieved for him as he asked the Moon Goddess that his grandchildren could meet their Mate soon, no having the same fate that him. ... Both men weren't even dreaming that their other halves were yet alive, that everything was just a curse... Or how they would meet each other in a nearby future... Again caused by her...  ...
