Four people sat at the dining table.
It was silent all along, no one was talking.

“Father….” Xu NanNan said.

The three Xu looked at Xu NanNan as if they had seen a ghost.
They thought they heard wrong and cleaned their ears repeatedly but Xu NanNan repeated what she said again.
“NanNan, what are you saying? You can’t just break off the engagement.”
Xu Father’s face was very grave, he looked like he was a bit angry and was shaking. In truth, he was shaking not because of anger but excitement.
“Father is right, sis. You can’t just break it off like that!”
Xu NanNan rolled her eyes in defeat at these two shameless people.
They said that “she can’t” but their words were the opposite of their eyes that were twinkling with anticipation as if almost jumping out of their socket from too much excitement.
“Father, sister, I’m really sorry, but I don’t think the engagement between me and the young master of the Su family is going to work. I just don’t like him.”
“Is that what you really feel, NanNan?”
Xu Father looked at Xu NanNan for confirmation, and she just nodded.
He dramatically sighed and understandingly looked at her.
“Then, I won’t force you if that is your decision.”

“Yes,, and it's final. I’m done eating.”
Xu NanNan quickly stood up not letting them say more, and disappeared in the hall.
Her figure was nowhere to be seen when the two shameless people came to.
“Big sis! Sis!”
“Do you need something, brother?”
Xu NanNan stopped in front of her car and looked back at Xu Han who was running after her.
His countenance was pale and he seemed to be out of breath.
“I… your fast..*pant* wait l-let me…*huff* breath…..”
Rolling her eyes, Xu NanNan waited for him to breathe normally and listen to what he was about to say.
“So, what’s up?”
“Sis, are you really breaking off the engagement?”
“Yes.”
Xu Han looked at her doubtfully and as if she was the strangest alien that he had ever met in his entire life.
How could he not doubt? Xu NanNan was after all very much in love with her “fiancée” and didn’t even stop for a rest for even a minute, talking all about him.
So, how in the world did that very much-in-love sister of his just told their father that she is breaking off the engagement?!
“Sis, do you have a fever?”
Xu Han put his hand on Xu NanNan’s forehead to see if she had a fever so that she could spout things that were so unlike her.
She once said that even if the world ends, she will never ever break their engagement off!
