Faith “Take me back , Elsdor.” I was crying, tugging at the centaurs long hair in my effort to make him stop, make him listen. Make him do anything but take me away from Dillon and Hunter. “Now.” Still he didn’t slow his pace. I had been on a horse before, I had even taken a few lessons as a child but I had never ridden bare back on the back of a centaur and his punishing pace gave me little option but to cling on for dear life or be thrown. And I was guessing being thrown at this speed would result in a few broken bones at least. All I could do was hold on and sob into his back. My tears wetting his muscular back. What the hell had just happened? I wasn’t even sure. How had I lost them already? I cared about Dillon , and I hadn’t even got the chance to get to know Hunter, not really.
