People are afraid of change. It is a concept too big to swallow. The fear of change is embedded so deep inside our hearts that we'd rather stay inside what's safe and known. We have vilified harbingers of change in history, literature and popular culture just so we could remain in our nests of familiarity. Oftentimes, the villains in our stories only want one thing: Change.
