Chapter-7

Iris's POV:

I came back running to my house and when I reached the house I found a box and a note stuck to it. I picked up the box and read that note.

"Wear this dress for tonight's feast. Luna sent you this as a gift"

I looked around to find any presence but there's none. Anna is still hurting.

"Is it necessary to attend the fest Iris?"Anna asked me.

"It is Anna, at least for the sake of the moon goddess" I gave a tight smile. "We only going to have each other's company, Anna. I'm glad that we found each other "I say to my wolf.

"You are on strong girl Iris" those words made me smile. If only I was really strong.

I went to my room and threw myself on the bed. Staring the ceiling and feeling the silence that surrounded me. I feel empty, something is missing and weirdly I feel like I'm complete when I am in Priston's presence. He makes me full, god why it has to b like this? Why I had a crush on him? Why is he, my mate? And why me?

"You are a fighter Iris" I heard Anna's voice inside my head.

"No Anna, I am not strong, I'm broken, I'm tired of being strong, I can't be like this for more time. It breaks me Anna to see Priston with Sveta and right in front of me they were making out and I felt my whole world shattered Anna" I cried my heart content.

There is this pain in my heart and the gulp in my throat which no one can understand. "I'm just broken Anna" I cried.

"Girl, you came a long way already. You are the strongest wolf, you never let go of hope. I was in here watching you all these years. Struggled, humiliated, broken, bullied but you never gave up and that really shows how strong you are Iris and I'm proud of you.

You have no idea how proud I am and even though our mate rejected us, we are here standing strong. Cos we both know though we are hurt we can deal with it" she spoke which brought more tears, this time a happy one.

"Anna, no one ever understood me the way you did. It's only you and I love you the most. I wish I know how to feel you and touch you. I wish I can hug you" I said.

"Baby, hug yourself and that's it, we are one and I will help to train you and make you strong and we both together show this world what you are capable of and how strong you are and the first step to it is, loving over own self, love yourself, self-love is more strong than the mate bond.

I will tell you a harsh truth Iris. Many wolves got rejected before and there will be many in the future as well. But think about how can you be different from them. If being here hurts you, let us move out of this pack and explore the world, I will be open to all the adventure if you want, you got me honey"Anna spoke.

"You are one smart, great, strong, and empathetic wolf Anna" I smiled. "And yeah thanks for this mini conversation and hearing out my rant and there is no need to move from this place" I giggled.

I look at the dress which was lying on the table across my bed. The time is almost up and I should even get ready for the fest, least bit I ain't interested in it but there is no other option. I walked to the table and opened the box to have a better view of the dress.

"Let's kill this party Ann" I whistled.

I wore the dress, it is a red long dress with a side slit, exposing the thigh and with a v neck which displays a little bit of cleavage. I don't understand why luna chose this dress, it looks like something Sveta wears.

"Who cares girl, you look lit. Uff, I feel a sudden temperature rise. You are hot"Anna complimented me.

I decided to put little makeup. Thanks to Eva, she taught me some basics of makeup, she says that I'm a girl and at least I need to know a little bit of makeup, but I love my face to be raw and free. I put on a liner and curled my hair at the edges which now gave me a wavy hair look, lipstick, and blush.

I look at my reflection and for a second I felt like wow. The dress is showing all my curves, I never knew that I have a great body.

You love Sveta right? Today I will show you what you are missing. I look a lot better than her. I lock the doors and stepped out. Mom is still at the packhouse and the venue for the feast is at the open land beside the lake house. I started to the place.

Sveta's POV:

"Babe, she fell in our trap, she wore the dress"Cassie's mind linked me.

Great, now it will be the best show tonight, I smiled to myself. How dare that little wench to try to steal my boyfriend. Today afternoon when we were having a hot makeout session, Priston left me in bed and went behind her and that hurt my ego. So lesson needed to be taught. I reached the lake house, waiting for Iris to show up.

Iris's POV:

I got greeted by my mother and she pulled me into a warm hug.

"Daughter you look so pretty" she complimented me and I smile in return.

Then Luna appeared "Honey, you look so hot" she smiled and I blush at her statement "Thank you, Luna, for this..." I got cut off when someone on stage requested Luna's presence.

She excused herself and got on to the dais and then our Alpha started his speech to show gratitude to the moon goddess.

"This is the special day of the month and this time it is a bit more special. It's blue moon day today and legends say that on the night of the blue moon, whatever you wish, it shall be granted by the moon goddess. The wish is pure. Let's take a minute to thank our moon goddess" he ended the speech and everyone closed their eyes.

I turned my head to see Priston or Eric, but it seemed like no one is there.

"Now, enjoy the feast, "Alpha said and everyone resumed what they were doing.

I trailed around the place, everything seems delicious. I immediately grabbed a muffin and gosh it tastes like heaven.

"Honey, everyone is in the lake house, go there and have fun," Luna said. I greeted luna and started to the lake house. Everything from the outside seems calm and I know the music is blasting inside. That's how the lake house is made.No one can listen to what's going on inside and vice versa.

I entered the lakehouse and everyone are busy in their own world. I spotted Priston and Eric at one corner and I chose to be in the opposite direction. I am away from everyone, at a corner, and just enjoying the music.

"Are you always like this?"Anna speaks.

"Yes, perks of being Omega, you can avoid anything" I giggled.

"GIrl, just remove the rank thing from your head. Just enjoy. It's a party after all"Anna tried to encourage me but failed. And then I heard people especially boys murmuring about Sveta.Thanks to my wolf hearing.

"She looks hot man and that curves, I feel like touching her"one said, how disgusting I thought. They all know Sveta belongs to Priston and still talk this low? god, boys, I say.

I turned around to glance at Sveta but I couldn't find her anywhere.

Priston's POV:

I'm hearing all the mind links going on and the whispers too. Everyone is talking about how hot Sveta looks and some other disgusting remarks as well. I found Sveta at one of the corners, her head facing the opposite direction I made my way to her.

Sveta's POV:

"The time is now"I mind-linked my friends. I saw Priston's hands reaching for Iris's waist.

Iris's POV:

I felt someone's hand around my waist and I felt the tingling feeling when he kissed on the nape of my neck. I know who exactly it is, Priston.

Did he come to me? I can't believe it, I smiled wide looking at him, but his expression didn't reflect mine. He is shocked and immediately and moved away from me.

"Iris?" he asked confused.

Someone pulled me by my hand and slapped me on my right cheek. Everything happened in fractions of seconds that my brain took time to process what has happened.

Sveta is raging with anger and she wore the same dress as mine.

"How dare you to dress like her and fool our Alpha?"Cassie questioned.

"Ah...what?"I asked confused.

"DOn't you dare to act"Sveta spoke."You dressed like me so that you can seduce my Priston?" she asked.

"What? her Priston? I feel like fracturing all her bones"Anna spoke to me.

I looked at her and Priston, oh no...I don't want him to misunderstand me.

"We all know, how wolves like you trap high-rank wolves using their body"Sveta spat. I feel like crying but I chose to be strong.

"You misunderstood," I said.

"Then why did you got dressed like me?"Sveta asked.

"Luna sent me this dress," I say.

"Wow, now you are even lying"Sveta laughed, and then it got me. It is her trap, she wants to portray me like a b***h in front of Priston.

"I didn't expect this from you"Priston's mind linked me and I couldn't help but feel hurt. Tears rolled down my cheek.

"I don't want you wearing that dress and look like my doppelganger, strip that down," she said.

Priston's POV:

I didn't expect this from Iris. Dressing like Sveta. just to get closer to me? She doesn't have to do that.

"Strip that down"Sveta ordered with a loud voice. The music around us stopped and now everyone's concentration is on us.

"What are you, nuts?"Iris spoke and I let out a low growl at Sveta. She's crossing her limits. What, strip her? does she want to humiliate Iris in front of me?

"Baby, we need to teach her a lesson," Sveta said with a seductive voice.

She has no idea that I am trying to control Percy not to rip Sveta's head and she's pulling it. Percy surfaced on the bottom and I know my eyes turned blood red by seeing the fear in Sveta's face. She took two steps back.

I felt Anna calling Percy out, telling him to cool down and that helped me to gain control over Percy and I'm back to normal.

"Apologize to Sveta" I ordered.

"Why should I?"Iris questioned back.

"It's an order" I growled and Iris bowed her head in submission.

Iris's POV:

"I'm sorry Sveta," I said. The words didn't want to come out but the aura of the Alpha made me helpless. Sveta laughed.

"The show is over," Sveta said snd everyone resumed.

"It's all her doing"Anna spoke.

I looked at Priston, his face is showing mixed emotions. Hate, angry, hurt? and then he dragged me upstairs.
