His Unwanted Mate

Chapter-5

Iris's POV:

I saw the night sky fade away and then the sunrise. I couldn't sleep last night. I don't feel like going to training as well.

"Hey Iris, It's Eva, and today I am leaving for my aunts' pack. Be safe" I heard a voice in my head and that freaked me out.

Then it got me, maybe this is what mind link is. I closed my eyes and imagined myself talking to Eva.

"Dude, you freaked me out, can't you just text me instead?" I said. I heard her laugh.

"Perks of being a werewolf"she replied.

"Be safe over there" I said and stared outside my window.

I found Priston staring at me, I can feel his intoxicating smell in the air and then it broke me again, I am not his. I closed the curtains.

I have extra hours of training today. I don't want to see him. When I see him all I can hear are his words, he rejecting me. But I don't have any other option, I need to attend the training.

With heavy heart and steps, I reach the training grounds just to see Sveta kissing Priston. I felt a pool of tears forming in my eyes and I had to swallow the hard lump forming in my throat.

I tried to ignore his scent and him. But seeing Sveta all over Priston my wolf let out a low threatening growl.

"Woah, look who got their wolf, " Sveta said mockingly.

"And look who is leaching over someone else's mate" I replied.

Priston rose from his seat and Sveta eyed him.

"Why do you care? he didn't find his mate yet, even if he does he will reject her for me, We are in relation for more than a year"Sveta answers.

This hit my nerve. "I am sure he will, but do you think your so-called relation can resist the mate pull?" I raise my eyebrow.

"Why don't we fight with fists instead of words?"Sveta challenged.

"Enough" Priston Yelled.

"Sure" I gave Sveat a challenging look, cos I know she won't back off now.

"Babe, let me teach her a lesson, she's proud of her newly found wolf"Sveta mocked.

"At least I am proud of something which is mine. Unlike you who is proud of another he wolf who is not even your mate" I spat and these words took everything to hurt her ego.

She ran towards me to hit me on my face, luckily I was fast enough to dodge it off and the next blow, I wasn't that lucky. She sent me flying in the air and I landed on my but.

I looked around and it's just us three. I saw two different expressions on Priston's face. One, it's pain, I think he doesn't want to see me hurt, or maybe that's in my head, and two, a sick expression. Like I am not strong enough and that's why he doesn't want me as his mate.

This hurt my wolf's pride, she took control. Anna pounced on Sveta when she was least expecting the attack. Anna threw Sveta on the ground and tried to scratch Sveta's face with her paws. Sveta held my paws with her hand and trying to control them.

"Stop it" I heard Priston's voice. Anna neglected his voice, maybe she doesn't like him.

"I said stop it"this time it was Percy and hearing his voice Anna turned her head, expecting Percy. But it was still Priston in his human form but Percy is on the surface. Seeing me distracted Svweta grab it as a chance and punched in the belly area of my wolf and Anna fell wincing in pain.

Soon the air was filled with the sounds of bones snapping and we heard a low growl from Percy. He stood there with his bog black wolf form and eyes blood as red, raging with anger. Seeing her mate standing up for her, my wolf felt safe and hurting at the same time.

I am observing everything from the back of my mind. Percy is taking slow and threatening steps towards Sveta, who legit looks like she gonna piss in her pants any time sooner.No, no this can't happen. Priston gonna regret it if he harms Sveta.

Soon I ran behind a tree and turned into my human form and wore some clothes and got back. s**t! Percy's face is just a few inches away from Sveta, who bent her head in submission. He snarled at her and that made Sveta flinch.

"Stop," I said, but he didn't care.

"Percy, mate...stop"I pushed Sveta and placed myself in between them. Somehow I am sure that Percy Is not going to harm me. Blood drowned from Sveta's face while listening to my words and the way I am trying to control the big mighty Alpha wolf.

I Carse his fur and it felt soft and this feels good and warm."Thank you Mate" I whispered while hugging his wolf and he let out a low whine. I stood there like that for a minute and the fur got replaced by strong muscles, like a brick wall.

I look up to find Priston staring at me with emotionless eyes but I always find his forest green eyes lively.

I pulled away and realized that he is butt naked. s**t, I felt the blush creeping up my cheeks. He went aside to wear some clothes. Sveta sat there on the ground with utter shock.

I felt like laughing aloud. Percy scared the s**t out of her. I can feel Anna being all happy, forgetting everything about last night. Obviously, she will be happy after all her mate stood up for her, unlike my human mate.

Priston's POV:

I don't know what is wrong with Iris, why in the hell she is challenging Sveta? when she clearly knows that, she gonna lose pretty bad.

They started the match, out of the blue Anna took the charge. s**t, I tried to stop them but none of them cared. I commanded with Percy's tone, still having control over my human form.

Then he saw Sveta hurting his mate and that took everything out of control. He pushed me at the back of my mind and went near Sveta. I am looking at everything happening. I am trying to gain control but Percy is not gonna calm down till he attacks Sveta, cos she harmed his precious mate. *Scoffs*

If it is not for Iris, Percy would have harmed Sveta. He got under control by her touch and he calmed down when she hugged him. She whispered "Thanks", I wonder why?

As Percy got calm I took control and shifted into my human form. And Iris saw me naked, it's common for wolves but, she being my mate it's kind of different.

I ran towards Sveta who's laying on the ground and hugged her to make her calm. She hugged me back. After a minute or two, I pull away to see a look of hurt on Iris's face. Seeing her like this is hurting me as well but I decided not to show any emotions, especially in her case.

"What happened just now?Mate?"Sveta asked. I looked at Iris and back to Sveta. I sighed "Sveta,  Iris is my mate, and" I paused to look at Iris "I ain't accepting her as my mate," I say. I can see tears forming in her eyes and she left the place.

I slowly explained everything that happened to Sveta.She hugged me "I will never disappoint you" she spoke but my heart is still wondering about Iris.

"Will she be ok?"

Iris's POV:

I skipped training. My heart couldn't take it. I can't stand them being together, caring for each other. How can I, When he is my mate? He is supposed to be with me and not her. I got freshened up and went to school. I know today is not going to be normal, after Sveta finding me as his mate.

The corridor is filled with students, I kept my head down and made my way to the locker. I took out few notes and started for my class. I got stopped by Sveta and her minions.

"maybe at least now you know your standards"Sveta spoke.

"How come she won't? after all, she got rejected by her mate" Elina, her friend spoke. I glared at Sveta.

How dare she said about this to her friends?"Butt out of my business" I stared at Sveta.

"Watch your mouth Omega, you are talking with the future luna" one of her friends spoke.

"In her dreams" I answered back." Luring over some other's mate? it's shameful,"I said.

"Today I am happy, so I won't be hurting you. How can I hurt someone who's already hurt? Who got rejected by her mate, whose mate doesn't find her compatible and doesn't suit him? Isn't that heartbreaking already? You gonna witness Priston marking me and not you. We will be mated, I will be the luna and the one bearing his pups. I will be his wife and not you.

I pity you, Iris, if you don't want to witness all these, I suggest you leave the pack. It is the easiest thing"Sveta laughed.

Her words sent daggers to my heart, I am at the edge of crying but I don't want to be seen weak, not in front of Sveta.

"And yeah, tell your wolf to get strong, she's just like you, weak and pathetic"Sveta pushed me and walked away as if she owns the place.

I want to be strong, like them but it is hard for me. I am more of a human and less of a wolf. Maybe once I adapt to my wolf abilities, I may get strong.

During lunch I sat alone, usually, I sit with Eva but today she's not here. Straight opposite to me is Priston, Sveta, and Eric. I watched Eric walking to me with his tray. I got surprised but this sudden movement. He accompanied me during the whole lunch. We talked about Eva.

"So what are your plans for tomorrow?"Eric asked.

"Tomorrow? What is tomorrow?" I asked.

"It's a new moon festival" he reminded me.

"Oh yeah. I am not sure what I am going to do, but yayyy....no training tomorrow" I giggled and he chuckled.
