Author’s Historical Note Sometimes a story takes you by surprise, and you never know what magical things will be uncovered. Rayne and Oliver’s Victorian-set romance was a true delight and an adventure for me in ways I never imagined. Between cursed diamonds, rumbling train cars, and the haunting and seductive atmosphere of a witchery at the base of a castle, there was plenty for me to explore with the story and, more importantly, with history.
