12 Rayne stood on the platform, watching the attendants load her and Ellen’s luggage into the luggage compartment. They had twenty minutes still until the train left the Inverness station. Ellen stood beside her. “Are you sure you want to leave?” “I can’t stay. Seeing him there for another week? I’m not sure my heart could take it.” Rayne closed her eyes and then drew a deep breath. “Let’s go ahead and board.” They took their seats in the first-class compartment. She stared unseeing out the windows. “I feel like I see him everywhere, Ellen.
