Twenty-oneAna led Tears through silent streets deep in shadow, heading towards the river. He knew this, the sharp tang of seawater hitting the back of his throat as they drew nearer. She held his hand, confident and determined. A huge structure loomed before them, but Ana ignored it, skirting to its left, moving underneath the monstrous steel legs of dockyard cranes. Tears' senses reeled. Nothing like this remained in his Merseyside beat, the docks long since silent, and yet this place seemed familiar in some way.
