A faint beeping in my ears wakes me up, my eyes fluttering open to find its source. A bright light enters my irises, the burning sensation forcing them closed again. Panic sets in as I drift back into consciousness only to realize I can’t breathe. I suck in air, frantically swinging my arms around in fear. The beeping sound escalates, growing louder and more erratic.
