*Ava POV*
It has been a great weekend. Hunter has been with me most of the time. We have met a few more people and now our table at lunch and dinner is starting to overflow. The girls definitely don't like me any more than they did. If anything they hate me more. But what ever I don't really want to be friends with them anyway. I won’t waste my time associating with bitches.
It's Monday morning already and Hunter waits for me at the top of the stairs.
He grabs hold of my hand and says good morning. There has been no more kissing just hand holding and stuff I know it sounds weird. But I like it when he is close and I feel empty when he isn't touching me.
We sit down and eat breakfast.
"So what is up first this morning?"
"Endurance then combat"
I look down at my jeans and jacket.
"Ohh s**t, I better go change"
Hunter says
"Do you want me to come with you?
"I will be fine, I will meet you guys down there"
I run upstairs quickly and get changed. I emerge from my room and I am faced with the other 3 girls. They are standing just in front of my doorway blocking my path. I look at them and speak.
"Excuse me"
"We just wanted you to know what will happen if you put on a show like last week and make it so we have to do all that fighting and stuff"
I snarl
"And what will happen?"
I do not being threatened one bit. Putting on a show? Because I actually came here to better myself? I get better training at home than the girls are doing here.
They collectively take a step back, I step forward. I am not going to stop now. I sick of these bitches. I have been here for 5 days and all I have seen them do is glare at me and hit on guys.
"You girls are an absolute joke, a embarrassment to she wolves everywhere. Seriously you are going to have to run packs soon. How are you meant to do that if you have no strength and can't fight? I feel sorry for your packs that are going to have utter failures like you for alphas, the members might as well pack up and move elsewhere before they are decimated under you leadership"
I push past knocking 2 of them out of the way with my shoulder as I go. I hear one of them say
"I don't need to be strong, when I find my mate he will run the pack for me"
I can't resist. I spin around to face them again, my entire face twisted into a sneer.
"Wow, that is such a great goal in life. Find a man to look after things for you."
"Like you can talk anyway hanging off Hunter like that"
"Whatever, it is nothing like that, we are just friends. I am here to learn and train so that I can protect my pack"
With that I turn my back on them. Stupid bitches, hanging off Hunter like that? Whatever.
I stomp down to training.
The instructor tries to hand me one of the 'girls' weighted bags. I glare at him. If looks could kill he would be a corpse in a second. I walk straight up to Hunter. Who doesn't even ask before helping me put the on the normal weighted bag.
*Hunter POV*
I have no idea what has pissed her off so much but I am not going to even ask before she cools it a bit. There is no way I want to suffer her wrath. Sam goes to say something to her. I look at him and shake my head. I look at Ty he nods. He knows her best. The look she gave to the instructor I thought he was going to s**t his pants on the spot. She snarls.
"So are we doing this or not?"
The others take off quickly and I run beside her. She keeps pace pretty well. I stop her stumbling a few times but otherwise she flies through it. We finish and I help her take her bag off before lowering mine.
She is in a bit better mood after the run. Working out some of her frustration until she sees the girls glaring at her.
Okay I don't know what happened but I can understand why. I cannot stand those girls.
Ava storms off and over to combat training. I follow her and grab her arm.
She swing around and glares at me. I speak as softly as I can.
"Come on Ava come over here and you can spar with me on the grass. You can let out all your anger on me, okay?"
Her eyes soften a bit.
"Okay"
I lead her over to a secluded bit of grass away from the cause of her anger. We can't see the girls from here. I remove my shoes and she does the same.
"Fight"
I say.
I run at her and she runs at me. We collide, her punching and kicking me blocking some and letting others land. Every hit she lands her mood increasing a bit. We sparred for a good hour, by the end I was tired she was tired and the best part is that she is happy.
We put our shoes back on and I wrap an arm around her and pull her close. We head upstairs to to get changed and then she meets me at the top of the stairs and we head to our next class, history. It's my most hated class.
She sits beside me and I scoot super close to her and whisper.
"So you ready to talk about it?"
"I don't know"
"Come on I took all your punishment you can at least tell me what all these bruises are for."
"Fine, it's just those girls, they were giving me a hard time about making them look bad for trying to train with the boys. They threatened me"
"What? They threatened you?"
"Ohh that doesn't matter they are all talk"
I don't like anyone threatening her even if she isn't worried about it. She continues.
"Well anyway I told them they are pathetic and I feel sorry for their packs with the weak alphas they are going to be. They said they didn't need to be strong because their mate would just run it for them. How pathetic expecting your mate to just swoop in and be able to run the pack properly. So I told them that. And then they said like you can talk hanging off Hunter like that, it just made me so mad."
No wonder she is annoyed. She is a strong and capable women and being told that she is hanging off me, like I am going to be the big man to save her, not saying that I wouldn't in a heart beat but still, I can’t imagine that it would sit well with her.
