MATED TO THE PRINCE

Chapter 4

CLARA

We shop till the afternoon when we head back to the house for lunch. I've promised to prepare something delicious for Ray and he seems all excited. 

However, there's something I don't understand. How can a Prince, someone from the Royal family like Ray have an Omega for a mate? Has it ever happened anywhere else? Is this possible? I mean, I'm a nobody, just like my mother makes me feel but here I am, having a Prince for a mate! 

Wow!

Back at the hotel suite, I'm busy in the kitchen preparing lunch for my mate. One thing I appreciate my mother for is the fact that she let me use her kitchen whenever I wanted something to eat and despite the fact that she never taught me how to cook, that was to my advantage since I learned to cook by myself!

Ray is busy in the living room working on his laptop. Apparently, he runs the family business alongside his dad and he's helping out on something. 

He hasn't told his parents that he has found his mate yet because he wants it to be a surprise!

It's at this rate when my wolf decides to hold a serious conversation with me!

“I'm glad we're happy finally!” she says.

“Sure, I'm glad we found him.”

“Will we be able to run a kingdom when our mate finally becomes the king and us the queen?” she asks.

“I don't know oh! I just don't.” I reply honestly.

“Then you need to hype your confidence. Some things will be revealed in due time and till then, everything shall fall into place.” 

“Which things? What's being hidden from me?” I'm startled. Why is she exposing some things right now?

“Don't get me wrong. I'm not going to tell you anything for now..it'll be exposed in due time.”

“But.. but...”

“Shut up and concentrate in your cooking. Do you want to burn the food? Our mate won't take it lightly! He's a prince, remember!”

That jolts me back to reality and I focus back at the food on the stove as my wolf goes silent. She can be so bothersome sometimes!

The food is done and I serve it to my Mate and I. We eat together and he can't stop praising me, citing that my culinary skills aren't far from those of the Royal blood! Well, whatever he means, I don't understand. What I know is that my mother is just an Omega just like myself and we've no royal blood in us! She also told me that my father was just another omega who got her pregnant and left her after he realised she wasn't his Mate!

“My mission in this kingdom is over.” Ray says as he helps me wash the dishes in the kitchen. “We are going back to my kingdom tomorrow morning.”

My heart leaps with joy at his words. I can't believe that I'm going to meet the Royal family! However, I'm still in denial since I don't know how they're going to receive me knowing that I'm not royalty myself!

“Don't worry okay?” Ray assures me. “Everybody will love you!” 

I know he's just assuring me but I'm not yet convinced, though my wolf keeps on assuring me that everything will fall into place.

What's being hidden from me? If my wolf knows everything, why can't I decipher it? Oh no! 

Either way, I nod in understanding. If my wolf assures me that everything will fall into place, then who am I to worry?

“Thank you for all the clothes, shoes, accessories, make up, sprays, colognes, creams and everything you've bought for me.” I sincerely say to Ray, hoping the tense moment will be over. Even after reassuring me severally, I can't stop worrying. It has never happened before. Royalty is mated to Royalty, Omegas to Omegas and rogues to rogues! Oh no!

“You're welcome dear, though it's nothing compared to what I'm preparing for you in my kingdom. You're entirely my responsibility!”

That assurance is enough to make my wolf purr in excitement.

“I told you not to worry. Everything will be exposed in due time!” she says and I have this strong urge to tell her to shut up since her assurance makes me want to draw closer to Ray and kiss the hell out of him! Well, I don't want to make the first move.

“I need to call my parents to tell them everything. It's not right to keep the Alpha and Luna in darkness!”

I nod in understanding. He surely needs to tell them so that they may be prepared to receive us tomorrow!

He calls them and tells them everything and I also get a chance to talk to them. They don't seem to be bad people therefore I relax after hearing how sweet they're to me.

“I told you. Nobody can reject us!” my wolf assures me and I smile in excitement. I'm making progress!

The rest of the afternoon is spend fitting the expensive clothes and shoes Ray bought for me, playing games in his laptop...well, this is the first time I'm using a laptop, cuddling, kissing and napping. 

I've never applied make up before and I wonder who will teach me since Ray insisted I buy a make up kit. I hope he'll teach me else I'll do a flop job and I don't want to look like a scarecrow when meeting my parents in law, who happen to be the Alpha and the Luna!

“Will you teach me how to apply make up?”

I ask in a bid to seek help.

“I don't.” he shrugs.

“Who will teach me then?” I ask baffled.

“I've organised with my consultants over here and they'll be sending a make up artist to us tomorrow morning.”

“Oh, that's so thoughtful of you!” I say in excitement. 

“I'm sure she'll doll you up such that you won't even recognise yourself!”

Wow!

My wolf can't stop purring as my heart leaps in joy. I'm glad he has everything planned, just to make it up to me!

Wow!

We've decided to order for some food from the restaurant for dinner so I've nothing much to do.

I really enjoy spending time with him. I'm glad I finally met my mate!

After dinner, we watch a movie as he prepares me psychologically on what to expect in his kingdom. I've never been to a Place before and I've no idea how things are done over there. But his assurance plus my wolf's constant scolding makes me relax, assuring myself that I'm up to the task!

It's already late into the night when we finally go to our different rooms to sleep. Ray insisted that he doesn't want to sleep on the same bed with me to avoid temptations. All he wants is to present me to his parents as his mate then mark me afterwards, when everything is clear.

I somehow agree with him. I don't want us to rush into things then end up being rejected after being tainted! No! I won't forgive myself if they happens.

“Dirty thoughts huh?” my wolf teases. “Pull the quilt over us I want to rest!” So commanding, isn't she?

“Yes your majesty. Good night!” I tease her as I pull over the quilt and fell her purring in contentment.

Ray has already kissed me goodnight and walked to his room. As I drift off to sleep, I picture myself in an expensive Princess's gown, walking hand in hand with Ray as he shows me around the kingdom, introducing me to his Pack!
